Theres a bigger picture, that no one cares about, is that should anyone feel crazy/depressed and want to do something crazy and violent, guns are easily obtained through one means or another.

No one cares. Gun owners sure as hell dont.

Its bad to think about this but logically speaking theyre just dumb firing mid level. Laying down would make you very hard to hit unless they run in and see you on the floor and then aim and shoot.
