Hard mode in Terraria is more like "Part 2" of the game rather than just flipping a difficulty setting up (which does also exist).

I wouldn't say hard mode is like part 2, I would say pre-hard mode is like the intro/preview to the game and then hard mode is when the actual game begins. Like, easy mode you kind of get to mess around with the different weapons and see what you like and then hard mode says yo, those are actual classes, now you can focus on a class and go crazy figuring out accessory builds for those classes.

The world you're playing in has some changes that happen to it once you go to hard mode and suddenly stronger monsters start appearing, you don't lose your character or stuff you built or anything like that, and certain things you do introduce new ores and everything. There's a pretty specific progression to the game.

And once you beat it, then you can check out tModLoader and play through mods like Thorium, that make the game totally wild.

Honestly I've liked all of them except Arise, I absolutely despise Arise's battle system with the shared CP pool, literal camera issues (this is 2022, when was the last time you played a game with camera issues?), orange gels costing three times as much as life bottles (that just shows you something is wrong with the combat system implementation), and other stuff.

I don't like how manual controls are implemented in the more recent entries in the series in that you can just totally whiff attacks. Yeah, I get that it's manual, but from what I remember of older games, if you targeted a monster, you would always target that monster with attacks, if you wanted to run around the battlefield to get a better position, you'd hit the free-run button, but as soon as you stopped you'd be right back to targeting the monster again. Nothing is more annoying than using Shionne's boost attack and firing off in a random direction, I've basically learned that I have to use a standard attack first since it will auto-target and then use the boost attack. That's just poor implementation in my opinion.

They program the game and then upload it to the cartridge using a special USB-A to Cartridge adapter. In the old days, they used other types of ports besides USB-A, but you get the idea. Once that initial cartridge is made, it's known as the "mold cartridge". These sell for top dollar on ebay if you can find them. Once the game is uploaded to the mold cartridge, they put it into a special copier made by Xerox (yes, that Xerox), and punch in the number of copies they want to release. So for example, let's say they're doing a limited edition release based on preorders, maybe they just punch in 1000 and it produces 1000 copies. It takes a while to copy the mold cartridge, and sometimes they run out of materials, so that's usually what causes the delays. The actual game programming itself usually only takes about 6 months, and then the copying is where the real time comes in.

Same sort of deal for compact discs except they use a microscope to write the code onto the disc using microscopic tools (very slow manual process, adds about 6 more months to the release time frame) but once it's there, they just use the same type of Xerox copier to copy the games.

As long as Nintendo wasn't allowed to make any decisions and were only allowed to bring their characters over, I'd be fine with that. I wouldn't want any of their idiotic innovation philosophy screwing up Sony.

The company only has 7 figures, only 2 of them are seamless (one of them being Mai Shiranui), and neither of them have been released yet. I'm highly skeptical of the quality.

Hover on what?

So if you look yourself up on PSN Profiles, then go to your profile, then click on any game and it will show you the trophy list. (Or you can just look up the game) Hover your mouse over the % shown beside the trophy and it will show you the PSN % rate. For example:

Go there, it shows 39.59% for Platinum, which is the PSN Profiles rate. Hover your mouse over 39.59% and it changes to 12.6%, which is the PSN rate.

Keep in mind PSN Profiles lists their rarity by default and only shows PSN's rarity if you hover. For example, Gravity Rush 2 is listed at 3.2% on PSN, but it's 17.06% on PSN Profiles. I'll let you do your own research if you want to learn why that is. Anyway, my top three using PSN Profiles' rarities:

Let my 9-year old nephew use my laptop today, which was not an out of the ordinary thing, he wanted to play Roblox, so I fired up a private tab so he could log into his account, he logs in, goes to the game he wants to play, is waiting for it to load, there's a banner ad at the top of the screen and he immediately clicks it out of nowhere.

I rarely use my laptop for browsing the internet, but it turns out uBlock isn't enabled by default in private browsing, so that's what was going on. But I was just like what are the odds I have a setting like that not set on my laptop, and my nephew hauls off and clicks what's probably the first banner ad I've seen in years. Anyway, I don't know I made it clear enough to him but I told him to never click ads like that, turned on the setting, and let him back on my laptop.

I've been playing through 3 super slowly, didn't get to play it when it first came out. I loved 1 and 2, but 3 just doesn't feel like it aged well for me. Haven't played 4 either, but I have it and will give it a shot once I finish 3.
