Its about time capcom let vergil star in a devil may cry game alongside dante instead of being a "special edition" character for the sole purpose that he would finally get more devil arms. I mean I like yamato, beowulf, and force edge (well now a phantom version of it for vergil.....yeah, guy is starting to run out of weps now since dante took the actual sword and fused it for story purposes, lol) like the next guy but its definitely time vergil got some more toys to play with.

Since my main priority with the gears series is it's pvp with a side of horde, my favorite is still gears of war 3. Sure the retro lancer or sawd off can sometimes annoy you, but it was still easy to clap baddies. A ton of unlockable character and weapon skins with none of the modern loot box BS. Maps was overall really good with all the DLC combined (the one real garbage map overpass being the exception). Horde was also at it's most fun imo....no class shenanigans, just place your traps, pick your guns, and kill shit. Silverback cheese optional.

Gears of war 2 has my favorite campaign story. Thats about as much praise as 2 gets though, cause the pvp was imo pretty booty compared to 1.

At least with mario kart 8 deluxe you don't have flame hopping to worry about so the meta stuff is still beatable if you wanted to chill with a lightweight like lemmy or something. Its all about item knowledge and good drifting to get that W.

Now mario kart wii with funky kongs on flame runners poppin' wheelies goin' YEAH every second and then will burn the absolute hell out of you if you ain't using him or two of the other characters who has the stat spread to kinda' sorta' hang with him (rosaline on the flame runner and daisy on the mach bike if my memory is right atm) was annoying as shit. Don't even get me started on mario kart DS snaking.

*Starts sweating before I realize that everyone is talking about the PC version and not the PS5 version*

Phew, lol. Over here making that 667.2GB of usable PS5 storage last like my life depended on it.

Nah, it was just one of a few capcom games that failed the apparently well-known among people in the know "capcom test". The capcom test is basically some random-ass re-release or some other stupid thing to "gauge interest" for a potential sequel, and if this game's hype test fails this test whether from a "lack of participation" or sales goals not reaching capcom exec's lofty heights then the game project will not get green-light.

Mega man legend 3's "capcom test" was that community site they made that he talks about in the video. The site had a lack of participation from fans, thus the project was not greenlight.

Darkstalkers went through a similar thing around the time after street fighter 4 came out. That darkstalkers ressurection release on the 360 and PS3 was that series' "test", and because this collection of old arcade games did not sell a certain insane amount (the game apparently sold pretty good since it's place on the PSN download lists was known) a brand new darkstalkers game with ono being at the helm did not get the go ahead. Remember that random onimusha port we got on the PS4 and other systems awhile back?.....yeah, that was supposedbly a test for the onimusha IP.

Capcom was just very, very dumb in that particular time period.

I would genuinely play the hell out of something like this if it was a game made in the same style as castlevania harmony of despair. Basically a game where you can play alone or with online co-op, 6 people teaming up to tearing shit up in various mega man x style levels they can make on the fly. Keep the same concept where the playable characters is from all of the different mega man games and have a system where you just hunt for rare drops....various weapons and armor equipment, and make something like the different character variations like black zero, that hot marino etc. the rarest drops. No gacha shit, just a straight up console and PC game like with castlevania harmony of despair. If they must charge for something, let it be more stage dlc.

I would just be slapping every single capcom executive in the face with wads of cash if a game like this existed, but I don't do the gacha crap and never plan to. Bah, lol.

Its pretty crazy just how much having a create-a-character improves the nioh experience compared to just using william's boring ass.

Nioh 2 is fun as hell though. Never got around to actually doing all the new game content, so I might get back into it myself at some point.

Read up on what bosses drops weapon scroll techniques...each weapon as at least two skills you find via getting them off certain boss drops.

Yeah, I used to get a ton of bad grades for gym because I hated stepping foot in that locker room....shit was beyond fowl smelling. What I used to do was just bring a pair of windbreaker pants with me, swap to that asap, and got the hell out of the locker room once it got to the point where it was like "yeah, I am mad close to failing gym".

For whatever reason, I skipped out on playing the battle network games in their heyday. I had this mentality that was all like "man I hate the art style that this mega man spin-off uses", basically the same attitude I was giving the mega man zero games because MMZ zero didn't look like the zero I was used to from the X series.

I did not play my first battle network game until I bought that dualpack for BN5 that was released on the DS. Played that for about 20 minutes, was all like "wow, this game is fun as hell. I been missing out"...I went and then bought the first 4 games used at gamestop. I also went and bought the first 3 mega man zero games to give them a chance, and ended up liking them a lot too. I blame the fact that I was 18 years old and was going through a stupid phase in 2001 when battle network 1 first released, lol.

This is really a touch one for me since there is a bunch I really liked over the years.

If I gotta' cheat and pick a online rpg, then phantasy star online episode 1 or 2 is not only my favorite jrpg, its my favorite game of all time.

Online stuff aside, tales of xillia 2 ever so slightly edges out tales of vesperia and symphonia, but other classics like xenogears, parasite eve, breath of fire 3 and 4, phantasy star 4, chrono trigger, final fantasy 7 (OG and remake) persona 4/5, kingdom hearts, star ocean 2 etc. is right on xillia 2's heels.

Actually you know what, I might as well say FF7 is my favorite. I played the OG release so much that the discs is beat to hell, and FF7 remake is my favorite PS4 game because I really like where square-enix is going with that action strategy hybrid system FF7 remake uses.

If I have a craving for fast food fries, I either go to checker's/rally's since that is the 1 single thing they consistently have done well since they were a thing, or get some of arby's curly fries since they are also pretty consistent with it.

Burgers is aight' but too expensive. Rather just go to cookout these days for fast food burgers....a tray where you pick 2 sandwiches, 2 sides, and shake for like 7 dollars and some change, you can't beat that.

QLED for gaming (I need both high peak nits AND good blacks potential to be wow'd by video game HDR highlights. I'm going to hold on to my samsung Q9FN until stuff like microLEDs and that new OLED/QLED hybrid tech gets further developed), OLED for movie watching for me.

Also, this is just my own personal issue with OLEDs for gaming, but I'm the type of dude who tends to.....fall asleep and/or idle a lot. Also, if I am really into a certain game, I have no problems playing said game for like 8 hours straight. I also can repeatedly play certain games for months (my monster hunter world save file for example has like 2,300 hours or something like that clocked on it. My nioh 2 save is like 600, etc.). OLEDs are a luxury TV in that you have to give it certain care compared to a LCD TV if you intend to use it for as long as possible and to save on the screen's wear and tear.....I already know my TV "abuse" habits is in no way fit a good fit for OLED gaming. Also, I like my anime art style games like persona 5 royal, dragon ball games, stuff like scarlet nexus and guilty gear strive etc. to look nice bright n' vivid, and settings like this would torch a OLED screen.

With tales of games, I always put preference on how fun they are to play and how likeable the entire cast is. I am also a huge fan of doing air-combos, so I never was much of a artes-tree fan since you cannot jump thus no air combat in these games, the gameplay system tales of graces f, zestiria, and berseria uses. (Out of these 3, the first 1 graces F is actually my favorite because of the parry mechanic being pretty cool. Zestiria's battle system is just a whack-ass version of graces F's, and berserias while an improvement on the move customization part starts to feel a bit button-mashy). *I do got a kick out of tales of arise's system since its this new blend of having full 3D combat yet found a way to bring the jump button/air combat back. It feels like it can be improved though, so I hope that is a thing for the next tales of game if they are sticking with this system*

I have a bias towards the team symphonia style/feel tales of games, so xillia 1/xillia 2 for that improved style of gameplay (they are a package deal, and even though xillia 2 is my favorite in the series and a great deal better gameplay wise than part 1 it doesn't feel right to tell someone to play the sequel without having touched the first game), vesperia for being the best all-rounder....it has the most unlockables outfits before DLC became the majority of outfits, 9 characters who all feel different to play to mess around with, and a shit-ton of post game content, improving on what symphonia and abyss started with all this stuff, and tales of destiny remake for that practically perfected old school 2D tales of gameplay.

I played the crap outta' mega man 11 on release myself. Its like my 3rd favorite in the series after MM3 and MM10. Actually, from what I remember I streamed the game for a friend and beat it the same day I bought it since I liked it so much.

Blast man's stage is the shit.

Loved the hell out of 3D world. I played through the entire game in 3 players, with my brother occasionally joining in for the 4th back on the wii u, so that was pretty fun.

I agree with music being a big part of what makes these games good, and that 5 doesnt have one of the better soundtracks. But I think it has some of the most interesting level design and its fun to breeze through the levels. Also Dark Man is possibly my favorite song in the whole series.

Out of 2-6, 4 is the one that I think is relatively bland. I have a hard time recalling most of the songs despite playing it dozens of times. Levels are long in a more sloggy way.

Yeah I didn't really super care for 4 like that myself. The only songs that really stood out to me from 4 was pharoah man's, dust man's, and skull man's somewhat. I also liked that really catchy final wily stage beat, lol. Levels were kinda long with barely much going on....especially dive man's stage. I did really like gravity man and wave man's stage themes though, especially the remix versions from that ps1 japan release/ones thats on the old gamecube/ps2 mega man collection.

MM3 was always my favorite from the original NES releases, but I think MM10 is pretty much classic MM perfection because of the balanced stages, fun gameplay with all 3 characters/finally proto man gets him a story mode, and mega man getting 3 exclusive weapons to help him stand out more. Also endless mode is really fun.

I love me some snes MMX, but my favorite snes MM was always X3 for the playable zero first showing up.

My favorite MMX game in general is X4, because of zero's first fully playable appearance and a pretty nice z-saber moveset.

MM8 looks purty graphics wise for sure, but the gameplay---yeah, I can even play MM7 multiple times over 8.

Out of all the classic NES style mega menz I honestly never cared for MM5 at all. MM5 is the very first one where as I kid I thought they were really running out of ideas for robot masters, and I didn't care for the games music like that...music being a big part of why I like MM games like that. To be fair MM6 wasn't that much better than MM5 when it comes to the robot masters, but MM6 did have some good music at least.

I actually enjoyed the newest mega man game, 11. Thought the double gear mechanic was pretty cool, and I really liked bomb man's stage with all the explosions, lol. Also handsome wily:

Yeah, both our original model and the top-loader model still works. The connector for the OG probably needs to be replaced at this point though.

Our OG NES is tough as hell....it survived every single member of our family tripping on a controller cord and sending it tumbling down to the carpet multiple times throughout the years, and my brother and I just beating the shit out of it's side. (We was under the impression that you had to give it a good smack or two to play games that won't load up properly....oops).

Idolmaster did release get a official release in north america though...it got a IOS release in Shiny Festa. They might have taken it down now, but it did actually get some form of localization at some point. I was under the impression that the idolmaster 1 was a trick question since the vast majority of peeps wouldn't know that one actually was a thing.

There really is no excuse in why I took until 2021 for nintendo to have a ethernet port on their systems (or dock in this case) by default when friggin' sega had their dreamcast at least come with a 56K port in 199goddamn8, and microsoft with the ethernet port on the xbox since 2001. Sony wised up quick and started putting ethernet ports on the slim PS2 on up.

Guys like sakurai, who is shown owning all consoles and enjoys games from all over the place is apparently a rarity at nintendo. I know miyamoto apparently doesn't game on anything else.

People are getting tripped up since one of those screenshots is not an official localization/release, its a fan patch. That, and idolmaster got a few IOS only localizations that very few realized was a thing, kind of like that one tales of phantasia IOS port that was then taken down forever ago. (although I already spoiled it, lol)

I usually will get in a viewing or two of the yearly christmas story marathons. I've been doing this ever since I was a kid.

All I know is that I bought this exact chair going on 3 years ago and it has been hands down the most comfortable chair I have ever owned for sitting at a desk. Finding a comfortable office type chair for someone that is 6'1 tends to be slightly annoying, but this one was perfect for me:

Everywhere I go when it comes to RE game discussion, poor code veronica is always neglected and completely forgotten about, lol. Feels bad.

OG resident evil 2 is still my favorite RE game period, remakes included.

Two protagonists with different story viewpoints, a nice amount of ammo and support items scattered around, A and B scenarios that properly changed things up for the replay (this is the main thing I didn't like about REmake 2...they botched the A and B scenario system setup. That, and taking out the spiders), nice enemy variety, fun minigame, and some nice unlockable to go for.

I still really liked REmake 2, but overall I liked OG RE2 a bit more.

Mayuri vs giant hand being animated is so close yet so far, lol.
