Video games and gamers are still on the come up, but outside of the COD/Fortnite genres its still generally looked down upon as a undesirable and nerdy pastime by most people.

We had similar issues in Iraq with the initial surge of ISIS.

The guys that join the Iraqi/Afghan military do it for a job/money, they do not have the determination or grit that fundamental extremists have when it comes to fighting.

That and their military organizations are very corrupt and lazy, relying heavily on U.S. support with no real drive to learn how to handle issues on their own. Training them was a nightmare.

The citizens of Iraq/Afghanistan dont want us in their country, but the government/military love having us there because we shower them with resources and do all the heavy lifting.
