It wasn't even my first time playing it. That's my only association of a game with a holiday besides Christmas. Lots of games I associate with Christmas, with OoT and FFMQ probably being the two strongest. --- |

Match 3 is the only one where i like both songs, Decisive Battle is one of my least favorite regular boss themes, Terra is good but it's no VII Main Theme (about tied for second with IX's overworld), and i feel like VIII has the strongest and most complete representation of any game. yeah there are like a dozen+ other great songs that i would hope for in a larger bracket but to me The Oath is the only song that truly feels missing for this. dowolf posted... I forgot how Ar Tonelico X-2's Thunder Plains is.i hate this song and most AT/Nosurge songs that i've heard so that checks out! --- |

Same deal with Main Theme, gotta hold the real main theme with the big orchestra, the epic flourishes, for a future installment!yeah Home Again is enough of its own thing that i can still appreciate it (i voted for it over Rabanastre, a song i quite like), just saying why i like the original more. i wouldn't be surprised if the next installment has a better version more like the original. as far as Main Theme goes, the song immediately before it in the original OST, Holding My Thoughts In My Heart is a much better example of an actually subdued Main Theme. VIIR's Main Theme doesn't feel subdued so much as just stripped down, it's not different enough stylistically. --- |
