Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Guardian of Remembrance (Switch)
This felt more like an expansion pack than the first one, which was more of a collection of gameplay bits, some of them more worthwhile than others. Focusing on Terrako's memories, you get to er, play as Terrako a lot, which turns out to be pretty fun once you get used to it. There are new story battles with sub-objectives, and collecting all of these is the goal. For some reason, it doesn't tell you all of them in-game, which is baffling, but that's what guides are for I guess. And two more characters who I didn't really use joined the battle, but they seem fine.

Oh, Ghost of Tsushima is a good one. It looks really nice so it benefits from the upgrade, and the load time improvements and HD rumble aren't bad. And the expansion that came out at the same time is very good.

Hmm. I think it's been a while. I mostly watched RE4 and that was after watching remakes of 1 and 2 but not 3. Someone mentioned Wonder Boy III, but that's also been quite a while. Steins;Gate with Chaos;head also applies. Luigi's Mansion 3 I actually didn't play much of 2.

I'd say it feels like a beat-em-up or action game maybe. While we're at it, Souls actually has PvP, meters, various attack properties and special moves, and fairly large movesets for each weapon, so it'd be a good candidate if not for the fact that it's primarily a PvE game and the PvP only takes place within that same mode.

Fighting game arcade modes, I guess. Particularly Guilty Gear. AC+R is still the king because it has the structure down right: 8 random fights, rival boss, and main boss.

I think I've only played Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer, and most of that wasn't me playing. But I think we're getting closer to finishing the trophies for it.
Looks like we need to hit rank 20 with the remaining classes and finish all the Raid levels. The first level was a nightmare because it's fairly long and if any one of the four participants drops you may as well just start over. Hopefully the second one being limited to people who actually finished the first will help.

I love when people say this who have no concept of how to run a business, or how inflation works. If everyone makes more money, the price of everything will go up in equal measure because most businesses can't eat the increased labour cost and keep running. At this point all you are doing is hyperinflating your currency to accomplish literally nothing.

Most of the stages there are pretty viable as fighting game stages and not hazard battle stages.

There also wasn't a single stage with nothing but normal platforms present.

There weren't even auto-scrolling stages before Melee, and I don't think it would take anyone long to learn to just like, survive Pokefloats without interference as long as they feel like. Pokefloats is about having to move your fighting location and take advantage of position.

I'm sure there are social ills you could solve with a tiny fraction of Elon Musk's net worth, but world hunger has too many ongoing and logistical costs to be one of them. Might actually need an amount of money that would make a difference to him, or money from multiple people for that matter.

For one, the party game genre is too abstract. The traits are uh, you can play it with at least 4 people, for short bursts rather than a long campaign. It should be a tag, like on Steam, not the main genre of a game. Mario Party is definitely a subgenre within it but Halo has all the same qualities.

I know N64 has one of the smallest libraries (and smallest good libraries) of any system anyone still cares about but the initial lineup is clearly not everything from even the top tier.

Even if you're defining it without judgment, you understand that large parts of the FGC and Smash fandom both really want to invalidate it with that same logic, right? This is the whole issue in all directions, each group insisting that it's so much better than the other that the other is irrelevant, ignorant, and effectively invalid. And then this attitude is used as justification to do the same thing by its targets. Forum arguments slowly build up the type of generational animus that people in the real world reserve for nations and religions. Over video game opinions.

I won't say that a bunch of N64 games don't have value, in terms of how good of a time you get for your money. It wouldn't necessarily be cheap to buy the cartridges now either. But renting them to us to use on their proprietary emulator after they've been at best sporadically available to buy on their platforms at all for all these years, it doesn't exactly feel like "dev creates a game and sells it" so much as "company finds a new way to monetize old software."

I think two different issues are coming up here. One is "Competitive Smash is popular in fighting game terms" and the other is "Competitive/non-competitive Smash is more popular among Smash Bros players." Why is either needed just to make a way of playing valid? And yes, saying "Smash Bros is not a fighting game, it's just a specific ruleset invented by fans to make it seem like one" is invalidating one of those.

The actual metric that matters is how many people signed up for the Expansion Pack. If a bunch of people who disliked the video bought the expansion anyways, Nintendo won't see any reason to change anything.

I know that's something of a trend with Nintendo (new game in ___ series) but here I think the hate is largely from people who don't think buying it makes any sense. And it's not like there's FOMO with a handful of N64 games with emulation issues.
