In the mythology Loki's father is a giant, not his mother, and he has at least two brothers. Loki is also the father of Jormungandr, Hel, and Fenrir. So on and so forth. There's tons of mythology they completely fucked up by making Atreus into Loki.

Like there was a lot they changed or just completely ignored throughout the game but the ass-pull at the end just ruined the entire thing for me.

Fun game, but the story is awful.

Dude, God of War has been playing loose with both Greek and Norse mythology from the literal very beginning. It's not meant to be a 1:1 adaptation of mythology.

The strength of the story really lies in how fleshed out the characters are. It's not super deep or complex, but it did a great job of establishing the gang's comraderie while setting up for the eventual and inevitable tragedy that would occur later on.

I think the Echo show is going to end up being carried by Kingpin and Daredevil, and I think Disney intended for that to be the big draw while formally introducing a new character.

They still seem to be holding out hope that people will eventually be desperate enough to pay bills that they'll come crawling back to their shitty, low-paying job.

What they fail to realize is that when your job doesn't actually cover those bills, there's no point in working there at all. So now the go-to strategy is to gaslight workers by calling them lazy and entitled. Anything to get around cutting into their profits.

The only way to save it is to give Snyder full control over it. They need to be different than the steady stream of Marvelshit and Snyder brings that.

Something being different doesn't make it better.

Snyder generally does a shit job of handling the classic DC characters and that's the one area where Marvel usually excels. Marvel's so good at that that they're able to go back to characters people previously disliked and make them work.

They DC Animated Universe laid the groundwork a long time ago for an amazing combined universe with Superman TAS, Batman TAS, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited. They should have followed that framework instead.

This. They started off on a shaky foundation from the beginning (or at least after Man of Steel).

It was clear the only real direction they had was fasttracking to a Justice League movie and it felt nowhere near as organic as what the MCU did. While it was clear that the intent was to originally build up to an Avengers movie, they took their time fleshing out the universe and its characters. Figuring out how to make Thor work in the context of an MCU that had been fairly grounded up until that point. Doing early groundwork on each character's character development so that when it came time for the big crossover, the distinct quirks between each character could be fully explored once it came time for them to interact.

The perfect comparison is BvS vs CA: CW. On the surface, they are very, very similar movies, with two heroes in conflict with one another as a result of the machinations of a master manipulator. But Cap and Iron-Man already had clear ideological differences even before heading into that movie and Zemo merely took advantage of that.

Whereas in BvS, it's just Lex Luthor forcing them to fight by literally going "Fight Batman or I'll kill your mom!", which isn't anywhere near as interesting and is pretty lazy writing. Like, the entire DCEU is written just to make certain scenes happen without any regard for actual character writing.

This game looks so bad and I have ZERO clue why people are so hyped. Like I cannot possibly comprehend how people see the trailers and gameplay and go "omfg this looks SO GOOD! Evolution of Pokemon we've always wanted omfg!"

It looks like a really bad and worse version of Monster Hunter Stories.

It's conceptually a really cool idea and different from what we usually get from Pokemon games so it's probably selling itself on that alone.

But the execution is definitely shoddy.

By all accounts I've heard in the news, the Series S is selling well, it turns out.

It's definitely not a bad purchase for someone that just wants to play the newest games and doesn't care about having the absolute best specs on the market.

Practically any individual worker is replaceable considering how many qualified job seekers there are versus quality jobs.

Replacing an entire staff is a lot more difficult to do.

Tripping was a pointless mechanic.

At least you can say for BotW that weapon durability, despite generally being a shitty feature in games, was built-in to the game's fundamental design and therefore many aspects of the game are designed to eventually make it a non-factor.

Except for the fact that if game pass gets too expensive, people will just go back to buying games outright.

There's tons of games on Game Pass but realistically most people will only end up seriously playing through a few.
