Indeed. Most of my experience boiled down to "here are high-level summaries of the various systems, communism sounds nice but routinely falls apart because humans are evil, moving on." This is less something that will actually have an impact on the education of Floridan kids and more a matter of showboating for the pearl-clutchers buying into the fearmongering that schools are teaching kids how to be Stalin.

The conflation of education with communism is starting to feel like a deliberate attempt to justify making schools focus more on indoctrination (ironically very much like the Chinese model).

Tbh, my education on communist regimes in high school was already focused almost entirely on their atrocities already. I didn't get a more nuanced look until university, and even then you'd likely need to take a dedicated class on the subject.

It was discontinued in 2015 for that reason.

Although I guess Age of Sigmar is sort of the continuation, my understanding is they basically just released it to keep selling stuff to the tiny fanbase it still has.

Age of Sigmar basically became more popular within two years than Fantasy ever was. Has better paced releases than 40k now tbh, and a story that's actually going somewhere.

It's difficult to overstate how much of an absolute commercial failure WHF was. For decades. There are a lot of reasons for this, but scrapping it has worked out for them.

Games Workshop has had their most profitable two years like ever, so they are jacking their prices up to the fucking moon.

No other miniatures company has the brand recognition or frankly the model quality and they know it. I don't think it's going to get better.

I wonder how many people calling for LeVar Burton even actually watched him. I didn't see him either so I have no personal opinion on it, but I remember lots of people stumping for him before he was even announced, so I'm skeptical. If he was good then I'd have no problem with it, but if he was bad as people are saying, then you gotta take that into consideration

Oh absolutely, you can't just lock him in a room. If it's really destructive, at a certain point you would just need to cut them out of your life (obviously it's nowhere close to that point yet).

But I would also be very concerned if I knew someone in that situation. But it depends on his friends finances which nobody in this topic (possibly even TC) have an understanding of.

I'm willing to volunteer for the job since I've spent years watching Jeopardy!. Also, as someone born in a state that borders Canada (I'm from Minnesota) I know more about Canada than half of the hosts that have been on Jeopardy!, which includes Aaron Rodgers.

While it's nice that you know a lot about Canada, there are still five other trivia categories you need to compete in to become Jeopardy host.

I dont know the source of his friends apparent other money or why his other expenses are allegedly low, TC should know better than me or anyone else. But the vast majority of people couldn't afford that, and I don't think most people would admit that they're spending unsustainably to others until it's too late.

If he's theoretically rich, then whatever, but I find it hard to believe based on my knowledge of whales.
