It basically turned into the game writing itself into a bunch of different corners, hastily writing out all of those corners, and then trying tell a completely different self-contained story at the same time. There were satisfying moments, but ultimately Endwalker is just the writers trying to open the game to move in a different direction than we've been going since its inception. I expected an obnoxious fight, so imagine my surprise when the representative immediately lowered my bill by $5 (I never even asked for it) and locked in that new rate for 24 months. Yeah I was actually fully prepped for battle here. Had their full comparison vs new customers and multiple comparison plan for splitting my services onto other competitors here. Ended up not needing any of it unless I really wanted to try to haggle for one of their really low deals they might have in pocket. But those are pretty limited in supply and I don't want to potentially take an offer from someone more financially strapped than me. They'd tried to offer us to remove several services(Cable boxes, TV packages, etc). Declined, obviously. Sent us over to cancellation, they offered to lower our bill to X(around what we're paying now). Sounds good, sure. Same services, cheaper price. But people are too stupid to do even very basic and unobtrusive methods to get the virus to a level where we could lower spread sufficiently to escape the pandemic. So the answer is not anytime soon. And it's impossible for the police to keep up with it which just causes it to spiral out of control as people realize they can steal bikes/power tools/anything not bolted down, trade them in for their daily fentanyl fix, and never suffer any long term repercussions.Actually, crime as a whole has decreased but things like say, burglary, have decreased at a rate that is basically double the rate violent crime has decreased. I'm sure they've likely increased on a year to year basis(Pandemic has definitely made things screwy), but the idea that society has been on some sort of decline is simply not true, and when the crime stats are released it is unlikely they would go back 10+ years of data. One thing that's made this infinitely more playable is logging in in the morning when the queue is short, setting up a keyboard macro to prevent afk timeout, and then coming back to the game after work and the kids go to bed. I might feel bad about it, if there weren't 500 ERP perverts idling in Limsa on every damn server. I set up an anti-AFK macro once, the day where it was supposed to be my only full day of play this week.
