You cannot become rich.
You can mooch off people but never be rich. It is a condition. If your lover is rich then they lose their riches. This is magic.

Is it really a big deal when you can leverage this ability into a network where you can make a phone call and someone will hook you up with a plane ticket to Paris at a 5* hotel? Or you're so attractive that you can convince a someone to build a private cottage for you on their property so you can live rent-free, while penniless? Or the police rolling out the redcarpet if you have any issues with the law?

There's a lot of power in having influence even if you don't make money directly off of it.

This is the future we're moving towards, or rather, what the world is aiming to do; topple the US dollar and create a reserve currency that is fair for all. What I expect to see in the future is banks issuing their own cryptocurrency, but their currency is pegged to the BTC or ETH as the BTC and ETH currently are too slow to handle transaction speeds for everyday life. It takes minutes for a transaction to go through when you want seconds when you're at the grocery store.

Kloe_Rinz posted...
Bitcoin uses so much energy I thought, we need something more efficient. Also Im not keen on the idea of a decentralised currency because then you have nobody to turn to when shit hits the fan

With every blockchain there's the trilemma that you have to contend to; decentralization, scalability, security. One is sacrificed when you chase after the other two. The BTC network is super secure (Proof of Work is what leads it to be incredibly resource intensive) and decentralized. Because of this, it's not at all efficient. There are tons of proof of stake blockchains out there that boasts 1000x the speed of Ethereum and Bitcoin but guess what they're trading, decentralization and security. To give an example, Fantom, a darling altcoin skyrocketing in price in the past couple weeks, had an issue a few months back where 3 nodes went down and crashed the entire network. Those 3 nodes had over 30% of the staking power of the network; i.e. the network wasn't decentralized enough.

We don't want to get a worse case scenario where we have one blockchain that's equivalent to the banking system we have currently, where the Federal Reserve prints money as they please with no oversight from an unbiased authority.

Influence is as valuable as money itself, it is a form of power. Theres a guy in NYC that is homeless but has a bed to sleep in every night because he picks up a girl every night.

Epstein had connections to celebrities who, just by name drop alone, allowed you to lure teenagers to their parties (ex. Hey want to be a valet/waitress for AAA celebrity?)

I also have a "royalty" function that's multi layered and buried in my code so if people do copy my stuff, oftentimes they'll be funneling me money through their project.

Brilliant. I'm learning Solidity as well, at snail's pace, though right now I'm learning about exploits. Cracking a contract that is attempting randomness really illustrates how difficult it is to have a decentralized version of randomness and gave me a stronger appreciation for Chainlink's VRF. That right there will be a proverbial money printer as it's the most adopted RNG protocol.

Ethereum is inflated with transactions to the point of congestion. It has been going on since DeFi summer 2020. Thanks to Arbitrum's release, a scaling solution, and Dapps migrating over, we should see an overall transaction fee decrease in the coming months.

Also, buy chainlink, it's a swiss army knife of functionality that pretty much every big name DeFi project uses. If you care, there's a 2 hour keynote speech by the CEO from a conference they host that brings in all the biggest names in the industry as they talk about their projects and how they use Chainlink's tech.

Trying to figure out what Sad_Face's angle is there, given that he's been downplaying covid for a year and pretending vaccines and masks don't work. Maybe he forgot to switch accounts.

That's because I have never downplayed Covid.

In fact I was among the few on this board that was preparing for it before the lockdowns. Even read up on some stock tips too. Yeah, I'm a vaccine skeptic, but that's because I've been following the pandemic from damn near the start where it was already politicized to the point where politicians didn't want do their part to prepare for the pandemic because "orange man bad". And half the things the CDC and WHO finally gave guidance on when they're not contradicting themselves, I already learned about months before. If I didn't learn anything in the past year from my toilet research, yeah I would have been front in line for the vaccine. Instead, I'll be a wait and see kind of guy and will gladly give up my rights to participate in society normally until I'm absolutely sure it's worth taking and won't interfere with my future plans.

He's still vulnerable to the virus, it only lessens the chance of you ending up in the hospital and the vaccine wanes in effectiveness by ~20% in just two months. He's 88 years old, under no circumstances should you take any chance with the virus at that age.

Bernstein had a "No mask, No class" sign on his board which all students saw when they arrived in his classroom. During Bernstein's interaction with the student, he tried to explain to her that due to underlying health conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and his advanced age, that he could die from COVID-19.
Having prior knowledge that two of his absent students tested positive for COVID-19, Bernstein decided to retire from UGA in the middle of class once the student refused to wear her mask correctly.

Yeah, getting corona chan would be a death sentence for him. It was probably for the best that he resigns as opposed to having to worry every class about a possible exposure from younger adults who aren't taking it seriously.

Let me rephrase, why go for a reboot over a brand new series? As I've said before Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was carried by the cast. Not the storyline, not the world, the cast. The reboot doesn't have the same cast. What's the point? It just comes off as lazy writing and trying to bum off an established franchise's reputation instead of letting their original work stand on their own two feet and garnering attention from scratch.

yes, journalists job is to satisfy the mad fantasies of crazies refusing to accept science, they should do this by poisoning themselves to SHOW that the drugs dont work for treating covid! and when they do, we will declare it fake news and demand new testing!

Dude, the foundation of science is being able to verify other people's works. If I want "proof" of human's activity on the moon, I can whip out a telescope to look for the mirrors they placed. If I want to verify equations of motion, I can derive them out myself and record the time it takes to drop a ball from X feet to the time of its landing. If I wanted to verify the size of the Earth, I can follow this other guy's strategy of whipping out a stick and measuring its shadow relative to the time of the day and some other specific distance.

In this case, if we're calling for this guy's head, why not ask the basic questions, what has he done? how did he do it? what were the consequences of his actions? There's nothing to lose following up on the patients he treated because this could be a bigger story.

So is he lying here? Or is his strategy in prescribing it effective? These journalists need to do their fucking jobs and answer these questions.

Why didn't they inquire about the number of COVID cases he's seen, and the efficacy of the treatment from his data?

He's been doing it regularly which means he has seen a number of patients and prescribed it to them. Do we have a number of people who went to him, were confirmed positive, were prescribed Ivermcetin, and then ended up in the hospital under worse conditions? How many inmates were infected and were prescribed this by him? Did their symptoms get worse? Or did life go on as usual?

This article is not asking the most important question, did it work?
