I don't claim to be an expert on many things either but you don't seem to actually know much about the causes you champion, you come off as having an initial instinct that something is good and then sticking to it despite whatever is said to the contrary. Enjoy wasting money/volunteer time on Andrew Yang lmfao

Also I don't give a fuck who does or doesn't get wealthy. Actually I'd be very happy if nobody was wealthy, I just want people to stop getting bombed and starved on the streets. It's obnoxious when crypto/NFT bros act like this is gonna make the world a better place but really all they have to show is "well a few people were able to hit it big!"

Nobody is "generating" wealth. At the end of the day the value given to it is tied to a real regulated currency and so that's just money that moves between people, up and down. For every person who does get rich off of it, you have hundreds who are barely moving the needle at all and a few taking big losses. It's basically just gambling. It's not some big revolution either, it's just like trading Pokemon or baseball cards except instead of having some physical object that has some tangible quality and rarity, they're trading ugly art of palette swapped apes and lions that have artificial perceived scarcity

Jesus Christ Mead. I don't understand how you can always be so close and so far away from getting the point at the same time.

Crypto and NFTs are just some get rich quick scheme. They aren't anti-capitalist. They aren't some magic thing that only the "little guy" knows about. What's really stopping the already rich from getting in on and exploiting or crashing it? I mean hell, there are already tons of rich people getting involved with it now.

But the kind of people who like him are obsessed with particular "masculine" ideals, which generally include being tall and having good/lots of sex with women. That's why it's funny. It's not really cool to do it to a genuine guy trying his best but this guy is just a little shithead that gets paid by the Koch brothers to stir up shit that makes the world a worse place

I haven't played it but it seems like it's nicely geared towards people who haven't ever worked out. However, I'm not in great shape by any means and it looks a little too limited to me, so it's possible you'll plateau with it. But I think if you get to the point where you feel like you've plateaued, that's a good problem to have as someone who never worked out before

I also try not to get buyer's remorse over one single game cause I spend way more on dumb food and shit all the time

Uh, you realize this just makes it sound more suspect? Why would you be getting modded for talking about having physical relations with minors if you haven't done that?

Like, I even believe that you didn't do that, cause I remember it being that she was eventually an adult, but it's just annoying that now you constantly lie and backpedal. I feel like you also must have initially volunteered that information not realizing how bad it sounds, why can't you just own it?

That's the last thing I'll say about it, I do feel kinda bad indulging in it, but someone else brought it up to begin with anyway. I understand that you're trying to get away from it but even trying to be objective I think you have to see how the way you deny it just makes it look even worse.

I don't think he did that but he admitted to basically grooming his eventual wife. Like he met her when she was 15 or something but didn't pursue a relationship til she was like 19 (and he was over 30 I wanna say). Then when people started being like dude that's gross, he started acting like he had no other choice (she came on to me, etc.) and now I think he denies it entirely. its a fake sub for upvote farming

reddit in a walnut shell

Regardless of the sub though I don't like the assertion that people are "lazy" for not wanting to work. Like 99.99% of people only work because they have to, let's be real. It's an artificial human construct, it's not natural to want to work - though yeah, a lot of things that aren't "natural" that we do are good. But you can't tell me that even if you "enjoy" work you wouldn't rather be doing something else with your life most of the time.

I get it also that we need some way of establishing order, and we aren't close to fully automating, but it's fucked up that with how technology is advancing people have a harder time affording things and the wealth disparity gets bigger. When people get fed up with that they crave the kind of shit that antiwork provides, and people on reddit are dumb and don't have a good eye for when something is fake

It can be a chance to connect with them (not necessarily in a romantic way), or if isn't but you're polite and amicable that's a perfectly fine thing too, not everyone is meant to be friends. The way you describe your experiences asking girls out sounds like how I used to apply for jobs, which was to put my resume in for basically everything that I was at some minimum level qualified for, even if I knew they were gonna see me as underqualified, or if it didn't even sound interesting to me. You end up getting in your own head with shit like that, and focusing on your "success" rate and making it a self-fulfilling prophecy that "no one wants me" because you're just setting yourself up for failure at an elevated rate.

And I mean you can do that but that's what you do when you're confident and can handle the rejection, not when you get mad at rejection

I met a girl when I was in 10th grade a couple years ago. She was in 9th grade. She was in my eyes, absolutely perfect. She was smart, funny, caring, and beautiful. Problem was that she was in a relationship at that time, which sucked because I really liked her and we were somewhat friends. So I decided to go after another girl to keep my mind off of here who was no where close to great as this girl, and it failed horribly. No relationship came out of it. The following school year, I took some time to myself and the friendship between the first girl and I grew. I was even giving her little surprises and gifts as hints as if to say, maybe we're more than friends. But it all came tumbling down because the day I was going to ask her to prom, she got asked by a guy who had the exact same name as me. So once again, I had to watch from the sidelines as the person I wanted more than anyone had fun while I was alone in the cold. Luckily, they where just friends, so nothing long term came out of it. My last year with her was absolutely wonderful. We were great friends, shared similar interests, and were as close to a relationship as one can get. I still gave her surprises, the biggest and the best coming around Valentines Day last year. I had gotten a box of Hostess Snacks Valentines Day cupcakes to give her. She was gone on Valentines Day, so I waited until she came back, which was the next day. I waited until class was over, and pulled her aside. I got down on one knee and went on a fun little act on how great she was and how much she meant to me. I gave the surprise to her and asked if she'd be my valentine. She said yes and we hugged.

I then asked her to prom a few weeks later, hoping for similar results. This time, I gave her flowers and a card parodying a tweet of a certain political figure who shall remain nameless because she liked my impression of him. I gave it to her the first week of March. She didn't give me answer until the second week of April, and that was a no. I was honestly broken for a week. I cried for a couple days. Yet after the whole ordeal, we were still friends. I soon graduated from high school and on my final day, I bid her goodbye, but told that we'll meet again. That was in June and as of now, it was the last time I spoke to her. I tried texting her over the summer just to say hi,only to get ignored by her. It turns out that I did too much and that's what caused the ignoring. I've tried texting her to apologize for what I did, hoping that we can start over, but that too has been met with silence. I think about her everyday and I miss her a lot because I know she's great. But it's painful. I've tried to let go, but when I try, the memories and the idea of it working out between us get in the way. I'm left confused in whether I should hold on and try, or wait for someone better. I've tried both, but in the end, I'm not wanted in either of them. I feel horrible and don't know what to do.
