i felt like i was dying from (poorly) cooked beef not that long ago, so... no, i don't think i will.

the senate is a remnant of the old, decentralized, structure of the united states, where the real power was in the states, and not DC. once that shifted, the purpose of the senate shifted, too. where before, its purpose was to represent the interests of the states, now the states don't really have a need to be represented. so now its only real purpose is to create an artificial deadlock as often as possible, so that no one can ever get anything done long enough to matter and the people who benefit with things the way they are can keep on doing what they're doing.

So I take it you're not a fan of the 10th Doctor? Or were you just that turned off by the episode?

i really liked 9, and i'm generally not a fan of recasts. plus, he was basically just a prop in that episode. the villain was horrible. rose's mom was horrible. so i just didn't go back for a while. about a year later, my friends were getting really excited for the (then) current story (Pandorica), so i went back and binged five seasons in about three weeks, lol.

10 is probably my least favorite of the modern doctors until 13, though he's still pretty good after that first stinker (and she's had literally zero favors done by the writing staff)

my friend had some tapes of the bakers, but i couldn't really get into it until the reboot (and even then, i binged it all after Smith had already started.) I also took almost a year break after Tenant's first episode, it was that bad.

So, i want to say Eccleston, but i'm not sure exactly how the fans count.

indeed. that was completely new for SW, right? i definitely wasn't expecting anything like it, but it worked.

anyone else "use" one new name for a while, but then want to change again? i like my chosen name, but i like another one more. it's just a lot more androgynous than i'd like (and it's moderatly anachronistic), so i rejected it the first time through. but over the years i've warmed to it, especially since it has a diminutive i really like.

i thought it was a coinflip you'd even make it through that simpsons topic. guess you're ok until you start quoting.

he has writer and producer credits on 2009 and ID, though that specific prop probably is on JJ.

there really isn't such a thing. the lack of a cba right now affects communication between teams and players, players and trainers, contract negotiations. spring training is only a couple weeks out, too.

'reboot' implies the old stuff doesn't count. if you don't like the term 'revival', how about 'sequel'
