That is a false rumor, so it's not really a spoiler. The game started development in 2001 and Vaan was added in 2002 with the game coming out in 2006. While you can make some sorts of arguments that he was possibly not the literal first character designed for the game, we don't really have any interviews that shed light there that I know of, he isn't exactly someone that they didn't spend most of the game's lifespan in existence development-wise. He doesn't even have any really interesting story as far as a changing narrative, such as how Tidus was originally going to be a plumber, he just kind of always was going to be roughly what we got.

interesting, didn't know that. ty.

My concern is quality and price. I'd want something that is extremely responsive if I'm using it as a touch screen and I just don't trust Arcade1up to give that, considering, at least locally, their other machines are 800+ CAD with parts that need to be replaced/upgraded.

Sadly, the only other option is a 2,000 dollars Cintiq, which has their own issues.

But my god Vertigo was something else. I didn't even get it while fighting. I just woke up one day, used the washroom and on the way back to bed my ears popped and it was like the world was spinning. I literally fell forward on to my bed as it messed up my senses so much that I forgot how to walk properly. I only managed to fix it thanks to something I read years ago about smacking the back of your head which adjusted the crystals in my ears.

The best way to describe it would be this: One part of my vision was swaying back and forward while everything else was rotating and spinning. Messed me up for a solid 10 minutes.

Youre right about boxers having the weakness of not being able to deal with kicks or being on the ground, but their footwork and punches are way better than what youll learn doing Karate. The conditioning and drills that boxers do are more intense than pretty much every martial art other than Muay Thai. Id rather being an expert boxer than a black belt in Karate

oh, no doubt. The conditioning of boxing is insane, makes me wonder why that kind of focus isn't put into other martial arts.

you dont know shit about boxing

I know quite a bit actually.... since a vague form of boxing is taught in literally every single martial art to ever exist. Obviously we don't go into the finer details taught in training, but I do know that a punch gains momentum based on your stance, breathing, and the flow of your punches. That's white belt 101. I know that boxing focuses on speed, momentum and avoidance to be effective.

The general defensive stance of boxing only covers the upper body since that's the only area allowed to be hit in boxing, while in most general martial arts they go with a 45 degree lower fist/hand, 15-20 degree upper guard to cover the neck, head and chest. Boxing is also bound by certain rules that aren't used in other sports. In general martial arts, anything goes. Literally anything. The first thing we are taught in Tae Kwon Do is that if we can't avoid fighting to attack the weak points first before resorting to martial arts. Meaning, we slap the ears, palm strike the nose, knuckle strike the throat, and yes, low kick the groin.

Don't get it twisted. No martial artist would go out of their way to fight some of the great boxing legends in their prime. But there is a reason that Mayweather has never stepped foot in an octagon. Once a striker regardless of study is on the ground, they are more prone to submissions and they can't build momentum to strike properly/powerfully, and that it only takes 7 lbs of pressure to dislocate a joint.

And in a real fight, its about who strikes first and how they strike. If a boxer hits me first chances are I'm down for the count. But if I see him coming, there are dozens of things that I can do at my level to prevent him from winning. Some of them are extremely dirty, but anyone who has practiced martial arts will tell you that rules don't matter in an actual fight.

Yeah.... no.... as someone who has practiced martial arts at least half my life, Boxing shouldn't beat Karate. Boxing requires you to be upright to gain punching power as your using your full body as momentum to power your swing. Boxers don't tend to focus on the lower body, so the moment that an actual Karate practitioner sweeps the leg and has you on the ground, its over.

Don't get me wrong, it wouldn't be an easy fight, and the more experienced boxer will probably win, but most mid belt martial artists should be able to take out a boxer if they can get them on the ground.

Also, most martial artists train without gear, only using it for combat tournaments. So unless a boxer brings tape and gloves with him, he's finished before the fight even begins.

I managed to get a 2nd dan in TKD. Probably going to take Karate when I finish college, as other than Kenpo and TKD that's the only thing that is being taught where I live.

I'll compare it to Shin Ramyun since that's one of the more popular Spicy noodles. To me, that is the perfect noodle packet. It's spicy, but not to the point where its just pain. I wanted to try this brand because I like trying new noodle flavors and its just hot. Unlike Shin Ramyun this one uses a liquid sauce and its just heat for the sake of being hot. I personally found the flavor not good, as you can't really taste anything over the spice level.

It's fairly hot. My suggestion to you speaking as someone who enjoy spicy food is after your done cooking it, and mixing in the flavor packet to add Sour Cream to the mix. It makes it really creamy and tones down the spice level to something bearable. Just make sure the sour cream you add is something you like, as I've had some really horrible sour creams in the past. I use a brand called Farmers, though I don't know how available they are outside of my area.

But without that, to me it was just unbearable. Not only was it spicy, but the flavor isn't great like that of Shin Ramyun.

Shinji is a crybaby who will cry at anything and makes emos look like cheerleaders.
Asuka and Shinjis teacher were the only decent characters in the show.

Angels I couldn't even begin to explain as I don't remember it. I just remember being extremely pissed off with the show in general as Shinji kept passing out mid fight, which since the show is shown from his perspective means fights are only half shown.

I've heard the movie is decent though.

Problem is that he is playing by the rules. Boxing isnt an ass kicking contest, its a game of landing punches while avoiding punches, and knocking the opponent down while not getting knocked down.

It would be like a running back who consistently just ran for 4 yards every single play - never more, never less. It would be very boring to watch, but it would be effective, and ultimately almost every game.

and I get that, I really do, but that's why I like watching MMA every now and again. A maximum of 5 rounds, and if your choosing to constantly run you lose the match. I don't mind if he's engaging the enemy ala Dempsey and dodging accordingly, but to me clenching is just nonsense and really should have a limit on it before you start to get points taken away from you.

I always question if the majority of his wins were actually legit or not. I watched a couple of his fights and it was literally him dodge/hugging most rounds. I know that in other sports you'd be flagged for no contact or failure to compete. I'm not saying he wasn't a great boxer, but I question how he would perform if that kind of thing was limited in boxing.

Christ, my buddys brother used that industry as a bouncing tool. Because at the end of the day your jumping from company to company constantly picking up new skills, making your value higher and higher. Last I checked he was making mid 100k 5 years out of college because he was willing to jump from company to company and increase his worth.

Retail did a number on me with showing interest. I worked for a supermarket chain for about 6 years. 2 years in I moved to a brand new location and was training a good 80 percent of the front end staff, and all the front end wondered why I wasn't making supervisor but the girl who joined the company as her first job made supervisor 1 week in. Management said it was because of "lateness", which is a bullshit reason if you ask me. I'd be late for a shift by 4-5 minutes because of traffic, or clocking in exactly on time but taking 2-3 minutes to get to the front of the store (punch clock was at the back of the store), apparently I'm expected to teleport to the my cash. Despite staying late and working extra shifts they kept that position from me till I left to go back to college.

I literally have stories about how bad retail/low end work screwed up my mental state from actually giving a damn about my job. From applying to a competitor and the hiring manager going home before my interview and claiming that she forgot about the interview and how the position was filled, to working as a store cleaner, doing the work of 2 people in half the time it would take normal staff and still getting yelled at, not by our company, but the company that hired our company. Even after the work was done, I was forced to stick around instead of being allowed to go home, unlike other cleaning companies.

The latest, and hopefully last one is the one I couldn't stand the most. We had 1 department manager, not even ours, who would come to our department and yell at us for standing around, which only happened when we were done our work, or were in a meeting to discuss how we would handle the days tasks. Christ, she yelled at one of our associates because he sat down to tie his shoes, as "it made him look lazy", and yelled at me because one of my coworkers went home when his shift ended because they changed his schedule the day prior and didn't tell him about it. Hell, she yelled at me because a customer asked where something was and I showed him. Some days I wish she would get hit by a bus.

Thankfully, I'm nearing the end of my latest college course, Hoping to graduate next June. I'll be honest, I'm nearly clueless with my program with the way its taught, but hopefully I can learn on the job.

Retail for me just drained me of my enthusiasm when it comes to working low end jobs. You can do your job, do it well, and still not get promoted over people that are fresh on the scene. You can show that you give a damn about your company and bring up ways to improve things and it lies on deaf ears, and still get yelled at for things outside your control. Coupled with being shorted hours that you need to pay bills and be told that you should be thankful you have a job, and are not allowed to work other jobs because of the style of your job.

My only issues with the landlords I've ever had was that they would say they would fix something and never actually do it, or in the case of renting from a property company, send someone who knows what the fuck he's doing, but is bound by their stupidity to not be able to fix it the way he wants to fix it....properly.

Case in point very short story, I was renting from a company for 2 months. They had this washer/dryer stack combo in the closet. Problem was that the combo with the dryer hose didn't fit properly and the hose kept getting ripped/cut. Instead of sending me a unit that fit properly they kept sending the maintenance guy to fix/replace the hose which didn't have room to fit properly. He knew it, I knew it, we got along great, but both hated the company. Now I own my own place and can fix things whenever I want. A lot more expensive, but thems the breaks.

TBH I question if companies want to bother remastering/remaking popular games. And when they do, I question some of their decisions when coming up with what to port/remaster. Zelda G&W comes to mind when it had Zelda 1/2 and Links Awakening, but not Link to the Past, Minish Cap or either of the Oracle games. Or why some companies choose to port the IOS version rather than the original version, ergo Final Fantasy prior to the Pixel Remakes.

They should come out with a second compilation of Castlevania games. Symphony of the Night, the GBA/DS games, and maybe the first N64 game albeit remastered to fix all the glitches in the game.
