It's easy to want to "both-sides" the issue and say that a poor white girl going missing from a trailer park wouldn't get major media coverage. And while that's true, I think that if the Petito case was instead a black instagram user and her black boyfriend, it wouldn't be so heavily covered. I think it has to do with the audience's expectations of crime and its perpetrators and victims. These stories blow up because well-off white people aren't supposed to be victims. Black people and low-income whites are expected to be familiar with crime, and that's where the racism aspect can come in.

I think my ideal SR game would be a mix of SR2 and 3. I really like 3s characters and aesthetics, but the open world was kind of shallow and lifeless. Steelport doesnt feel like a city that people actually live in. I miss things from 2 like walking around in the mall and running into random stuff like the barbershop quartet.

the reboot trailer didnt get me hyped, but neither did it throw up any red flags

John Lithgow is so good in 4 that I dont remember any of the bad stuff. Ill take high peaks and occasional valleys over flat mediocrity any day.

7 was the final season, right? never watched that one. last one I saw was the season with colin hanks and EJO which was laughably awful

the ones where i feel like i'm learning about a new game's subculture, the foibles of a game's engine, and the various ways people learned how to break it are more interesting than the sequential "and then X got the record. and then Y got the record."
