Lol yeah it was pretty obvious what they were going for. I remember watching the first season uncensored and thinking "Well this might work for a nice prologue". Then I watched the second season and promptly erased the series from my memory

The show itself is a generic shallow story about one thing which it explains in the title. The author knew how generic it was which is why the characters don't even have real names. The only thing that separates it from other stuff is the rape which is played as part fanservice and that in itself is just dumb and creepy

Fact of the matter is that this was going to happen. Everyone knew it was years ago. Anyone that didn't hasn't been paying attention. US invaded Afghanistan with no clear goal other than "GET BIN LADEN" then stayed there to spread good old democracy when clearly much of the country didn't give a single fuck about it
