It's not necessarily that cut and dried. The Harvard study was from like 15 years ago and their definitions of "sex trafficking" are really broad. Some in the study felt that legalized prostitution in a place like Nevada still constituted "sex trafficking", which is absurd.

Can't answer a blanket statement like that.

It's good if both parties are in a position to make that decision for themselves. Like, if you're at a legal brothel where the proprietors have control over their business.

I'm trying again to lose weight, I've been up and down but fell off hard over the past 2 months.

I'm not sure I would describe it as mental clarity so much as having this part of myself in better check makes me feel much more self confidence. Not in terms of looking better but knowing what I am capable of.

I feel so much better overall health wise so that definitely is reflected in every aspect.

I assume it was actually cheaper for me to eat as compared to now. I definitely ate A LOT of carbs. Cheap stuff. Lots of pasta, rice, unhealthy soups, etc. etc. Pizza now and then.

It's not hard to eat poorly on the cheap honestly.

I was a big kid since I was like 12 years old. At my heaviest I was 415 pounds like... 5 years ago or so.

I got down to 325 or so before Covid, and then Covid was when I discovered I am an emotional eater. Intermittent fasting combined with a focus on healthy eating habits have put me down from 375 back in March to 296 this morning.

The ST story literally makes no sense. Why does the New Republic let the First Order form? Why does the New Republic not fight against the First Order, forcing Leia to form the Resistance. Why does Maz Kanata have Anakins lightsaber?

New Republic is based on the idea of freedom. You can't really aspire to be better than universal tyrants if you use similar tactics to destroy opposing beliefs. That and the fact that the seeds for the First Order were set up during the reign of the Empire. Palpatine set aside a contingency for if the Empire was to fall, which was in the Outer Rim territories as the First Order. It basically amassed power until a time it could come and be a direct threat.

Why did Maz have his lightsaber? I dunno, lost plot thread.

In TLJ Snoke says that he set up the (dyad) connection between Rey and Ben, yet in TRoS we find out that Palpatine was in control of Snoke and he was surprised to see they had a dyad.

Rian Johnson should have done the third movie. That was just retconning because some fans were mad.

Luke abandoning his friends and family because he had a bad vision of Ben. Previously Luke fought tooth and nail to save one of the most evil men in the galaxy.

Luke responded to abject failure the only way he was trained as a Jedi... to run away from the world. Look at what Obi-Wan and Yoda did when they failed; they fled. To suggest that Luke should not be inspired both in the positive and negative by the only two Jedi teachers he EVER had is ridiculous, and I felt it was an awesome way to grow his character from simply being a hero. I thought it was kinda genius to take that aspect of his growth and show the impact it had.

In TLJ nobody wanted to help the Resistance fight the First Order, yet in TRoS everyone floods in to fight the combined might of the First and Final Order.

Again, Rian Johnson should have done the third film. TLJ set up a lot of awesome stuff that, since it was so divisive, they just retconned to make the third film a homogenous blob of Star Wars.

Basically everything involving Palpatine.

I felt like Rian had a great idea that had nothing to do WITH Palpatine. It would have seen Ben Skywalker become the big evil for the third film but at great reluctance. He would have all the power of the universe but no idea what he really wanted. He was shown to be, in essence, a terrified young man with no idea what he really wants. Every person he looked up to as someone to help shape who he is were failures (to him). His father, Luke, and then Snoke.

Take that kid with a natural power with the Force, and give him power over the galaxies strongest military presence. It would have seen him evolve and change with this power. He would have struggled to fight his obvious goodness trying to live up to some weird deity figure in Darth Vader, fight against his mother and her ideals (and the obvious set-up that she is the one he looked up to the most in comparison to Han, Luke, and Snoke), and ultimately turn against his own forces to stop them from taking over the galaxy.

I feel like it would have been nuanced and AWESOME... but nah, fans bitched and moaned about any nuance and grey to their characters.
