I want a proper remake not a port. The gameplay doesnt hold up today I think, especially the first 6+ hours of every game where you only have basic commands to work with.

It was him and many other people and in this one, it was as well but he really took charge and rubbed some people the wrong way evidently.

Castlevania inspired too apparently, but I'm only seeing that in the whip combat and enemy designs honestly. Kickstarter funded like the first. I really need to give Hollowknight a chance sometime but I got too much to play as is, I want to know what was so good about it that it got 4 expansions over 7 years. But I hate classic games like that tbh, megaman included. Games were some bullshit in the old days.

Its the single biggest departure from the Pokmon formula to date. Still a bunch of catching but far less battling and far more lore. More mature too, blatant discussion of life and death while using the words life and death.
