| DrPrimemaster 10/05/21 11:18:07 AM #23 | 30k is certainly high, but I had to have the AC Unit replaced within a couple months of moving into my new place and that ended up costing around 5k. I had the place inspected but it was during the winter and the AC went out during the summer. I'm also having issues with weather sealing. Just be mindful that you should be putting some money aside for repairs each month. You might not need it but it'll be nice to have it when you do. --- Metroids Suck |

I just run mine so I can sleep, if it's 83 in my house during the day I just live with it During the day it is on a lot. I also have to run fans constantly because the AC is not well circulated. If it is 83 in my place I wouldn't deal with it. I might have to though. I was spoiled by my old place which had no sun facing windows, was smaller, and got a lot of free temperature control from being surrounded by neighbors. I almost never ran the AC or Heat. My new place has floor to ceiling windows that get direct sunlight during the day. It will get into the 80s if left unchecked. Looks like adjustments will need to be made, tinting the windows, dealing with hotter temperatures. --- Metroids Suck |
