Also im not gonna mark em cause its a 40 year old book but I've read a ton of James Lee Burkes Dave robicheaux novels if not all of them now. But I just recently read the first one and man it was bad.

It mentions elephants in the grass which was a dudes dying words but while it does get brought up again several times as important its never explained. Also the main character kills two people basically in cold blood... like he has his reasons but its nuts he kills 3 people in the book and two of them are just revenge killings basically and one is a really iffy on duty kills (hes a cop). And sure he's briefly suspended but essentially its so absurd and clete is somehow supposed to be the asshole...

Way different from all his books I was familiar with. My perception of the character is entirely different now tbh.

Meh. A later seasons of mash style approach would be fine where its more into drama and still about comedy just as much but from what I understand its like they decided to go full on with the "why don't he love me man?!?!?!" stuff as the main focus.

Which tbf that was an incredible scene, but it was all the more powerful because it wasn't common in the og version.

If you hit the little settings dots you can change the playback speed. If you put it at 0.25 it's all slow and dramatic.

Fuck one shot then I'm gonna just use normal video and cut it down ans change the speed if I want at least then it has better music even if its played at a weird speed.

Sounds neat but Ive shot lever action before. I havent ever shot bolt action, at least far as I can remember. I was thinking something more like that

I personally think lever action is way cooler but also ive only shot 2 lever action guns and a ton of bolt action.

I think the biggest bolt action I've shot was a Winchester .308 or a 30-06 and I'm not sure which is bigger. I think the latter.

If you want a pump gun you could get a 12 gage and buy slugs and you'll definitely feel it.

It's a real interesting watch.
