Lightningrods are metal so... I avoid anything purely metallic during a thunderstorm (aluminum or otherwise) except for cars. I also would never be touching a source of water (rain aside).

If it's after 10 pm and you're trying to sleep, I understand notifying authorities completely.

If it's not after noise curfew, I'm not sure what makes them suspicious. Blasting loud music is a great way to draw people's attention. If they were truly "up to no good" they wouldn't want that.

And to answer the question... I personally have not, but have been in the presence of people who have. Including when cops were called to check on me due to suicide threats during one of my episodes.

Coming from a Wisconsin fan... Scott Frost is a shitshow and I'm here for it. I do think he's headed for the can. The "hire your 90s QB as your head coach" certainly worked for us but it's not working for Nebraska. But I don't know if Scott Frost is actually that good of a recruiter - it's not a matter of getting the "best overall players" so much as getting the "right fit." He's not getting the right guys and he can't develop the ones he does get.

Badgers fans want a national title. We keep coming oh so close but can't finish out a season the right way. At least nobody's calling for Chryst's head... except for the usual few idiots. Ever since he got back here, we've been consistent and he's a huge part of that.

I'm interested in nominating, but I don't care about the babes and I can't tell if set pieces is intended for movie scenes (which I could easily nominate for) or just the locale in which a scene takes place (which would be much harder for me).

You don't need to nominate in every category. If you want to use all five nominations for classic rock songs, you are free to. I'd prefer more diversity but it's each user's choice!

And the movie setpieces are heavily about the locales - the scene itself isn't important aside from how the set is integrated.

I'm not protesting songs of 6+ minutes so much as discouraging having too many of them. If there's only, say, 6 such songs, I'll probably listen to them more than once (unless it's something as ridiculously long as, say, Supper's Ready). Basically, I just didn't want to have every nomination be a Steinman-length song since that would make this take even longer.

tbh I wouldn't have minded a reboot if they brought back some of the same characters, just with a reset to the storyline. It would have been cool, for example, if they rebooted with Johnny Gat and Shaundi still in play and we actually got to see Shaundi's character development instead of the jarring change between SR2 and SR3. Could've even made a game that would serve as a bridge between those two games.

The "wokeness" is only an issue if the game makes it a bigger deal than it is. One of the things I really enjoyed about SR1 and SR2 was that they had a diverse cast without calling attention to it. Everyone was equal and acted normally to one another. It was all about a single Human Race.

The gameplay video looks like SR3 all over again, but with a bit of SR2 thrown in. Still gonna wait for closer to launch. I'm not going to get hyped up the way I did for SR3 because I was let down so much by that game considering it didn't quite live up to my expectations, and I swiftly reverted to playing SR2 all the damn time. I'm hopeful that this turns out to be awesome - it takes a lot to blow me away nowadays.

Also remember: I'm the guy who still automatically sings along to "Take On Me" every time it comes on my car radio. Which is... a lot (since the start of July that's been at least nine times in my very limited amount of driving). Been a tradition since I picked SR3 up, hopped in my car, and that song immediately started up. MEMORIES...

In my experience, this only ever happens at grocery stores and big box marts - but that may be because I never buy more than a couple things from a smaller store. Only times I've noticed a discrepancy have been at the store as it happens or when I get home and see the receipt. With the former, I'll let them know. In the case of the latter, I'll go in next time to actually buy it if it's worth $25 or more, unless it's at Target because Guest Services there doesn't give a shit.

I've never DMed before and I only have a few freebies, so I'd like someone else to. I don't think I'd be particularly good at that, either. Too intensive and I don't have enough experience with D&D.

But this works pretty well in my experience, so I thought why not have a B8 D&D campaign? I'd think it would be pretty casual but we can decide on that if we have enough interested parties.

If some of you already do this, which I know is possible, is there an open spot?

Any live-action setpiece is fine from movies 1962 or later. If you're talking about a movie like Space Jam or Roger Rabbit that fuses animation with real actors, I will ONLY allow real-life constructs. So none of the animated sets from those movies... or any set that's solely CGI, really. Basically, if people built it as opposed to drew it, it's fine with me, even if that set is "destroyed" via CGI (like the X-Men mansion above - people built that set, so it's fine).

What were you expecting, exactly?

SR2 is still in my top 10 games ever because of how fucking fun it is. I'm also hopeful that a new game is more in tune with that than the barely replayable SR3 and SR4. SR2 did both wacky stuff and serious stuff well and that made for a brilliant game. (When's the SR2 remaster coming out? Perhaps they'll reveal that also?)

SR3 was a big letdown for me because I loved 2 so much that it was too much of a departure.
