I agree they won't do anything serious (they didn't in Georgia or the last time Russia invaded Ukraine), but Western media is largely very anti-Russia. Your characterization of Western media sounded more like how Russian propaganda presents their actions.

I think when you get it for that price, youre also paying for premium, so no ads and get to have your screen off. For me, since I don't use any other tv/movie or music subcription services, it's worth it.

Firefox does that for free though.

The stockholders. Ownership of a company is represented by stock. To buy out a company you need to buy at least 50.1% of the stock in it.

FFV isn't on PSP, unless you mean the PS port, which is the worst option. There also isn't a 3D remake. Are you thinking of FFIV? If so the best version is PSP in my opinion, but the 3D remake is an interesting experience.

This is just a return to the PS1 to PS2 era. 90% of 3rd party games on one console, Nintendo is Nintendo, the other console gets the leftovers plus their own in house games.

Everyone was fine with this when it was Sony with the 90%. They shouldn't have fucked up by pricing the PS3 at $600 and making every developer jump ship. You PStools really are sweating, not sure why. I thought you guys say Sony first party games are top tier now?

I planned on getting $200 worth on my account before it ended today. I added $100 last night, and planned on adding another $100 today, but it seems it already ended. I'm kinda pissed that I only have $100 on there right now. Now if I want to get more money on my eShop account, I have to pay an additional charge through play-asia or some other website. Which is kinda why I wanted to add as much as I could before support ended...

You can get a number of games (including virtual console) off Japanese Amazon, and often cheaper than the actual store.

But we actually do get special treatment for their mobile games, because Japan spends more on that crap. Still doesn't make it not crap (I am guilty of free playing the NieR mobile game but there has been no new story content for like half a year at this point). I loved VIIR myself.

You should definitely watch the Original Series (use a watch list to skip the bad episodes) and movies II, III (it sucks but you need it for continuity), IV, VI, and Generations (VII).

They're both awful. Yeah it is like an extended episode of a below average episode of the series, but by making it twice as long it becomes unbearable.

That realization when the only other Next Gen cast movie worth watching is Generations, not because it's good, but because what comes after First Contact is so bad.

Wild Arms is great and all but I really don't think it'll change your mind.

I'd say if you were looking for a jrpg to really grip you to play Xenogears. You can file that one away if Wild Arms doesn't pan out.

Yeah, if there is a game that will change your mind on the genre this isn't it. Maybe something weird like Earthbound, unique like NieR: Automata, or just a short genre favorite like Chrono Trigger. Wild Arms is a good game, but not the best in the genre.

I guess I completely disagree with everything you just said. The 2019 Twilight Zone seemed devoid of original ideas, badly written in general, and not interested in giving you anything to actually think about. Black Mirror is written extremely well and provides very interesting reflections on our society and morality. When 2019 Twilight Zone tried to have something to say about society or morality it's just an obvious thing that doesn't require any reflection.

I haven't seen the second season yet because it's not streaming in Japan for some reason, but I thought the first season was by far the worst Twilight Zone reboot. Black Mirror has set the bar pretty high for doing a Twilight Zone style anthology these days, but even so 2019 Season 1 was absolutely abysmal.

He only backtracked it because he can't get away with saying the quiet part out loud yet.

Besides the characters having Japanese names, the whole signs are in Japanese thing should also be an obvious giveaway.

Not all people claiming to be communist support violence/mass killings/authoritarianism, etc. Whether you agree with them are not, there are communists who are good people advocating for the betterment of society. Pretty hard to think of redeeming qualities for racism.

There is probably a reasonable take somewhere between "school closures have no negative consequences worth considering" and "school closures are as bad or worse than the invasion of Iraq", but he just decided to go all in on the latter.

Charizard would get inflicted with Burn by that take.

I think it works as a dumb fun movie. It's certainly not anything approaching good cinema or something, but it isn't trying to be.

Colleges would know that they can continue to jack up the cost of tuition because the government will continue to give out the loans, and when the loans become a crisis again they'll just be wiped clean.

This is the big issue to me. People are viewing colleges incorrectly in the US, even "state" institutions are largely for profit money factories that don't use tuition for better education or even care about the quality of education to begin with (they don't care about your reviews and just farm out teaching to adjuncts and post-docs for poverty wages while skimming more money off professors grants, and if they aren't getting grants they're gone). I am all for helping those struggling with debt, but it needs to be tied to tuition reform or it just becomes a corporate bailout. Tuition is not increasing with inflation, it's increasing much faster. And international students aren't about diversity (notice how they're largely rich people largely from the same few countries?), it's about literally charging them more for the same education because they can. The higher education system in the US is full of labor exploitation, union busting, and sucking as much money out of students as possible and people defend it anyway because they have this PR about being progressive that people keep buying into.
