I actually think the moment is sort of dumb purely from a story standpoint and that the scene is only enjoyable because of the song. (Though in my case FF9 is one of my favorite RPG's and I don't like this part specifically)

I did vote Melodies of Life regardless, but YNA is also great and is easily one of my favorites remaining.

I gave up Radiant Historia because as a very smart high school student I concluded after about 3 hours that there was just no possible way the time travel mechanic could be used to tell a coherent story and that it wasn't worth continuing.

Big picture probably isn't anything special but I really like Midna. Also want to say that the game has fantastic atmosphere especially at the beginning, although that is a bit separate from the story and isn't strongly factoring into my rating.

I also have trouble putting into words what I don't like about Ink Long Dry and it isn't as simple as "dissonance". (Though that's definitely part of it)

The thing that my gut wants to stay is something like "it lacks a cohesive rhythmic identity", but I think as written that statement is almost provably false. The fact that this is what I'm fixated on means it should be something related to this but what exactly I can't easily nail down.

I suspect the Mel stuff is in there either because Noxus is going to feature in S2 or because they are planning a different animated series or something focusing entirely on Noxus. (Or maybe Noxus/Ionia, or whatever)

Within that context I think it's fine, though I do agree that if they aren't planning something like that then this will feel out of place.

Well Caitlyn was released well before both. Caitlyn is also pretty much unrecognizable though if you're only familiar with her original art before the visual redesign.

Vi was out about a year before Jinx according to the wiki.

Honestly I'm amazed we're getting a Mask of Truth anime. I thought the Mask of Deception anime was received horribly. Of course, that also means I'm not really that excited for the MoT anime, but still.

Not sure what to make about about an Oshtor prequel from a story standpoint but I guess I'm cautiously optimistic.
