Elon Musk blocked the teen who has been tracking his private jet on Twitter, Bloomberg reported.

Nineteen-year-old Jack Sweeney created the Elon Musk's Jet Twitter account in June 2020.
Musk offered Sweeney $5,000 to remove the account. Sweeney countered with $50,000, and Musk walked away.

The 19-year-old who created a Twitter account to track Elon Musk's jet told Bloomberg that the Tesla billionaire has blocked him.

Jack Sweeney created the Elon Musk's Jet Twitter account in June 2020. The account uses bots to collect publicly available air-traffic data detailing the movements of Musk's private jet.

Protocol first reported that Musk had approached Sweeney late last year and offered $5,000 to get the account taken down, saying it posed a "security risk."

Sweeney, who shared the Twitter private messages exchanged between himself and Musk with Insider, countered with an offer of $50,000. Musk declined, saying it didn't "feel right" to pay for the account's removal.

In a new interview with Bloomberg, Sweeney said Musk blocked all social-media accounts connected to Sweeney on Sunday night. Sweeney confirmed in a message to Insider that Musk has blocked him.

"You know, it's kinda strange, he wants it down and seems like he's really mad," Sweeney told Bloomberg.

Sweeney told Insider last week that Musk had introduced some measures that Sweeney had recommended during their Twitter conversation, which make it harder to track the jet.

Harder, Sweeney said, but not impossible. "I just have to work around it," Sweeney told Insider.

Sweeney told Insider that he was aware that going public with Musk's offer might antagonize the billionaire.

"He'll probably be annoyed," Sweeney told Insider, adding: "he went the opposite way of me so why wouldn't I go the opposite way of him?"

Musk and Sweeney did not immediately reply to requests for comment from Insider sent outside of regular US working hours.

"Earlier today, our staff and volunteers experienced harassment from convoy protestors seeking meals from our soup kitchen," the Shepherds said on Twitter. "The individuals were given meals to diffuse the conflict. Management was then informed of the issue and no further meals were given to protesters. Our soup kitchen is committed to providing meals to people experiencing and at risk of homelessness in Ottawa. This weekends events have caused significant strain to our operations at an already difficult time."

President and CEO of the Shepherds of Good Hope Deirdre Freiheit told Newstalk 580 CFRA there were several issues on Saturday.

"Staff and volunteers were verbally harassed by people who came to the kitchen looking for meals. We also had a situation where the trucks were blocking our drop-off in front the shelter, which is where police and paramedics come to bring people to us for care," she said. "That was blocked and that could have cost somebody a life."

Freiheit said she didn't have an exact figure of how many people came demanding meals, but said it was not a large number of people.

"There were people who came into the kitchen demanding meals, there were people who came to the shelter, trying to get into the shelter asking for meals," she said.

Freiheit also said one of the shelter's clients was assaulted.

"One of the people who used services in the shelter was assaulted," she said. "My understanding is that our security guard was able to diffuse the situation. Unfortunately, that person was subjected to racial slurs from the people who were assaulting the person who is using our services, but they were able to bring that person back to the shelter."

Freiheit said it is standard procedure to report such incidents to police; however, Ottawa police told CTV News Ottawa they had received no reports of an assault.

"Officers in the area did respond to disturbances but at no point where there any assaults reported," a statement from police said.

Ottawa police said Sunday that "several criminal investigations" were underway into a number of incidents related to activities on Saturday. In a tweet Sunday evening, police said officers were aware of the reported incidents, "and have actively reached out to @sghottawa to investigate."

Freiheit said staff and volunteers described a "mob mentality" in the area on Saturday.

"For people who are working really hard to support those who are most vulnerable in our community, who are experiencing homelessness, it was a very tough day for them."

The protest, which drew in people from across the country, created gridlock and noise throughout the downtown core Saturday. Many people returned to the downtown core to continue to protest Sunday.

News of the incident at the Shepherds of Good Hope had some residents pledging to donate to the shelter in response.

In a statement to the media, the Shepherds of Good Hope said they've been overwhelmed by the response in the time since the incident became public.

"Shepherds of Good Hope had no desire to comment on this protest. However, we felt compelled to correct disinformation on protest communications channels that we were 'happy to feed the patriots.' This was not the case," the statement said, in response to comments made on social media by some of the protesters.

Security footage now has been made public showing a Black student being ordered by a white lunch monitor at a school in Lorain, Ohio, to eat food the girl had thrown in the trash.

After asking for months to see the video of the incident at Palm Elementary School, the parents of the child, whos also suing the school, says the footage confirms everything their daughter told them.

The Lorain City School District released surveillance footage of the act on Wednesday, Jan. 19. The school district blurred the students faces out before its release to the public.

The incident, captured in a 34-minute full-length video released by the district, happened in November 2021.

In the upper left corner of the abridged video, the camera shows a child throwing her finished lunch into the garbage can, telling the principal she did not like the waffles.

A white adult woman wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans pulled the food out of the trash can, wiped off the package of food and told the female student to eat what had been thrown into the garbage.

The video shows the 9-year-old fourth grader refusing to do what the adult aid asks, but eventually acquiesce. At one point the aid sits next to the student to ensure she eats the food.

Jared Klebanow, one of the attorneys representing the interest of the girl and her family, stated that the video validates the students recollection of the events. He also said the family has asked for months to see the video, but did not see it until the public release.

Upon seeing the video, the child reportedly was retraumatized, reliving the feelings of embarrassment and humiliation that she felt at that moment at the school last fall.

The attorney spoke of actions in the video. What we see is a student finish with her lunch again, a student finish with her lunch and she goes to throw the lunch away like hundreds and thousands of students across the country do every day. We see in the video, this monitor, the named defendant, go ahead and grab the waffle out of the garbage, he continued. And she appears to instruct the student to go get a paper towel, go back to her seat.

He added, She places the waffle at the table and then for a matter of minutes is talking with her, instructing her, as we know from the victims standpoint, that she needs to eat this waffle that was in the garbage and the monitor goes as far as to sit right next to her, as is alleged in the complaint, and intimidate her into doing so, he said.

The lawyer alleges the video confirms the testimony of the student, and said, unfortunately, in our world and society today, had that video not been there, it might have just been a childs word against a teacher, an administrator, which is a tough spot to be in.

Cleveland 19 reported that the district discovered during its investigation that the girl was pressured to eat the food from the trash receptacle; once home, she told her parents. One of her parents came to the school and filed an official complaint. The principal received the complaint, but reportedly did not follow the appropriate protocol.

Since the districts investigation, both the principal and the cafeteria monitor have been fired. Still, the girls family believes that the termination of the two adults is a quick fix and that they should have their day in court for the pain and suffering theyve expressed that theyre experiencing.

LaTosha Williams, the girls mom, said that her child had become sick after eating the food and that since she missed time from work while staying home to nurse her daughter, she lost her job.

It literally flipped my whole family upside down, she said in December. She has changed at home. She doesnt act the same. She doesnt even want to go to school.

The family filed a lawsuit that seeks admission of wrongdoing, a collaborative effort to prevent such incidents in the future and an undetermined amount of money.

District superintendent Jeff Graham addressed the issue after the investigation, saying, Any infringement upon the dignity and respect of our students will not be tolerated. Our students deserve staff members who are able to make good decisions in all situations. And any staff member who is unable to deliver on that promise is unwelcome in our schools.

The school district has offered no further statement about the incident or the lawsuit.
