Its been tanking all year. Everyone keeps looking at the immediate impact of their problems on the stock prices but they have been having problems all year and it shows. EA and Activision are direct rivals at this point. So, lets compare them to EA in terms of percentages.

EA is currently up 15% over a year. Nothing crazy by any means but at least they are positive. They have been very sporadic with their stock movement but its been holding steady overall. This isnt the case with Activision.

Activision is down 19% over year. Its actually even worse if you look at only 2021. If you look at Activisions peak in February, before all the crazy bullshit, and compare it to now the stock has actually tanked by roughly 54%. That is unacceptable and it is tanking more everyday as more and more people speak out.

Things will change because money talks the loudest. People will put up with a lot of crap when it makes them money. Once that protection erodes away You become expendable. The question is when is that breaking point where your usefulness isnt enough anymore?

The top 3 games that came to me head are CoD Vanguard, Fortnite and Valorant.

I bought Vanguard on release and I dont think Im even level 30 yet. That is how fast I lost interest.

Fortnite is a BR and I was never a big fan of BR. I found that game to be the most boring out of all the BRs. PUBG is close to this but PUBG is not popular at all now a days.

Valorant is just too slow pace for me. The matches last insanely long and it drags forever. Every time I try to play it I ask myself mid game why Im even playing it. Rainbow Six Siege is similar but you do a lot more in between fights and is much more engaging IMO.

Honorable mention given to BF2042. I havent had a chance to play it yet because of my work schedule but I heard its insanely broken because of the bugs. Practically unplayable which sucks.

Ive had this game downloaded for days but I refuse to turn it on. I work 7 on/7 off 12 hour shifts and only have 1 hour max to myself before work each day. I will not jump into Halo Infinite for the first time with the possibility of loving it and torturing myself at work everyday. Plus, I could show up to work late because of it and thats not happening.

It will be all the sweeter once I finally hop in tomorrow morning when I get off work. I missed out on that Beta too which was unfortunate

The beginning of this is a story that adds context. Skip to the last paragraph just for the topic title question.

I know a decent amount about PCs. Enough to build my own at least. I know people here know WAY more than me. I feel like I know nothing at all next to yall.

Anyway, a coworker of mine come to me to ask about Laptops. She was looking for a work laptop, she got a new desk job position, and what I recommend. I ask her what exactly she was trying to do and she just said the basic stuff. Documents and Skype calls for meetings. I told her that most basic Windows laptops can handle stuff like that now a days. (Well I assumed that is true)

She told me that friends have told her to get a MAC. I may not know a ton about computers but I was very adamant about her not buying some expensive MAC to do these basic things. Plus, I told her the OS was always complicated for people coming from Windows to Mac. (I dont know how true that is anymore) plus, she said her friends recommended some $3000 Mac Laptop to do her basic work LMAO.

Sorry for the long story but that got me thinking, is there any practical reason to buy a MAC over a Windows laptop? I mean it isnt like you can only mess with IPhones on a MAC or something? Why would anyone get a MAC outside of brand loyalty?

True since I didnt read the fine print on how many people signed off on that letter. If games keep tanking, are constantly delayed and/or shit then things will start to change. If Activision starts to lose partnerships and companies dont want to deal with them for PR reasons then things will change.

Its like a snowball but on a flat surface being pushed by Activision themselves. Its not going down hill in an unstoppable fashion but they keep pushing it and building up the snowball. Eventually it will be massive and it will finally hit a hill to roll down.
