I suppose, American and Australian outlook on healthcare is very different. And what I said will never happen, because the unvaccinated will just say "well I've paid my Medicare tax so you can't deny me the service".

As an Australian, my view is if people don't want to be vaccinated that's their choice (as selfish and stupid as it is), however if they do get COVID, they should pay full price of their health care (essentially Medicare is revoked). They should walk out of the hospital with a 500k bill, America-style.

(Australia has universal healthcare and you don't have to pay your hospital bills as every tax payer pays the Medicare tax charge)

That's good man, kind of funny (not really) how many nations are waiting on a list like this for months, and here's our nation saying it's free, we have it available everywhere, and still people are like "nah" while others in the world would kill for the vaccine.

It's because our federal government loaded up on AstraZeneca, then they found out it can cause blood clots so the health advice in Australia is that AZ is for 60+ year old only, so we have so much AZ that we're throwing it away and everyone else has been waiting for more Pfizer to get here (and we are also getting Moderna arriving in September).

Wife is getting Pfizer next week as well, she's 21 weeks now. Felt the baby kick for the first time the other day.
