She's a pretty good representation of the average American. She thinks she's much smarter, much more special than she really is, when in reality she is just very much a regular woman. I just think most the time people are lusting reasons they hate her, I'm like....those are the comedy parts of her character that make her good. Why does the giant comedic faults of Dale and Bill get recognized, but Peggy is met with backlash for being a funny unbearable person. The whole point of 95% of comedies are characters turned up so high that no normal person would want to actually be around them. We find relatability, but the funny comes in when they're an extreme version of who we are. There's definitely a lot of Bill, Dales and Peggies here. I've seen different therapists and since you're the broken one and they're the "experts", you tend to put their value over your own. However, your gut/subconscious/intuition knows you better than you do though. If you feel consistently worse after a session ends than when you got there, that's the first sign that maybe this isn't the right person. If you feel really hesitant on going back, that too. I've had both good and bad therapists, and the good ones make you feel at ease regardless of what you're going through. Definitely agree on the whole "experts" thing. I always give them the benefit of the doubt. Especially cause if you're stubborn, therapy wouldn't work regardless. But the gut thing makes sense. I'm not full white and half a Mexican last name, but luckily I've only been places I felt accepted enough and not judged for stuff like that. So, a gut feeling on that stuff wouldn't be relevant in my life. But intuition is relatable to anyone paying attention, so I can grasp it. I do agree with people saying this would be a rarity. I didn't really think about this being so rare when making the topic, but that had no legs to stand in.
