Raiden is a completely new type of team character.
She can't do much alone, but she greatly improves burst teams and can cover their downtimes.

I'm thinking Mihoyo is going to release Yae as a main dps character who directly converts her energy into damage, with a maximum energy cost of 100 or 120. Which will then have crazy good synergy with Raiden.-

I'm excited for Yae though I'm kind of rooting for her to not be in 2.5 since that means Yunjin and Yae at the same time and I can't handle that.

Raiden is a character that, IMO, is very good but even at C2 (which is what I eventually got talked into rolling for) she just isn't a consistent Main DPS. All of her DPS is concentrated in her burst, which has a relatively short duration and a long CD. Even worse, the burst is only good when it's fully charged by other characters, so she can't effectively "main DPS" as well as other burst supports like Tartaglia or Ayaka. Electro doesn't help either.

We have a few good electro main DPS unfortunately none of them are that good. Keqing, Lisa, & Razor are all main DPS. Raiden is a support burst DPS it makes more sense to think of her like electro Mona.

I think Mihoyo just had to introduce Divine Chorus together with Kokomi and release a weapon that isn't as underwhelming as her catalyst together with her.

This whole fear of missing out stunt didn't work on her coz she is a healer and her banner happened with extremely awful timing.

I don't know if the timing was that awful. Though I definitely feel like leaks made an impact on spending habits. Given the choice between Childe and Kokomi I figure most people would choose Childe as he's the only hydro main DPS in the game.

If hydro was super saturated with damage characters like Pyro is, Kokomi probably would have sold more on that merit alone.

Well the article said live ammo. I don't know if the article made that part up or not but you can't kill someone with a blank unless it's point blank range.

It could be identical to what happened with Brandon Lee but if we take the article's word at face value it was loaded with live ammo.

This was live ammo. It's extremely difficult to kill even one person with a blank much less kill one and hospitalize another.

I don't know man, this is a highly subjective take. I just found Drake to be funny as hell and he fit very well with the tone of the games. He also had a cool backstory which is revealed in 3. I think they messed it up a little in 4 by introducing a brother but otherwise he is a pretty well developed character with a great sense of humour, good voice work and charisma.

Of the new characters from that gen, I liked John Marston, Ezio, Joel & Ellie, Commander Shepherd - these are usually listed as the best characters from that era.

I think Sam would have been a better character if he wasn't actually Nate's brother. Just a really close friend from the orphanage that Nate called his brother. I know Elena points it out during the script about why the fuck did he never talk about him before but in a sense it's kind of valid from a storytelling perspective as well. It doesn't make sense that Nate wouldn't say anything about his brother for what looks like an estimated 4 years. It does make sense that he doesn't say anything about some of his orphanage friends.

It was a rehearsal so they were trying to figure out how they wanted the shot to look first. The final scene in post production would have been CGI'd and VFX'd.

I should clarify that's speculation on my part, but the likely hood that he would shoot someone while acting out a rehearsal and that person would be a member of the production crew raises red flags to me. Why would he need to pull the trigger during a rehearsal of the scene? If you did, why would you be shooting towards the production staff? It doesn't really add up, but we obviously need more info.

I suspect someone who was there is going to tell everything to TMZ at some point.

A squib is a real bullet.

By real bullet in this case I mean something identical to live ammo. The squib that killed Brandon came from dummy ammo. The bullet itself was real but there wasn't anything to actually fire it. The hit from the hammer dislodged the bullet into the gun that killed Brandon when it was later reloaded with blanks.

And prop guns are very much real guns. How TF you think Brandon Lee died? They usually have blank adapters, or maybe not if they were doing a close up of the muzzle and wanted it to look real.

I already explained how Brandon Lee died. He was shot by a real gun, not a prop gun. They didn't have any live ammo on set. They used a combination of squibs and blanks. The bullet on the squib broke off inside the gun as the gun was loaded with blanks effectively making a real bullet.

Prop guns cannot fire bullets they can only fire blanks. It should be impossible to actually fit a live ammo or squib into a prop gun.

I agree the prop department fucked this up but you should still treat all guns like dangerous weapons at all times. I don't even fuck around with safety habits with airsoft unless I'm actually shooting at someone.
