So I kinda want to make an Eldlich deck since I hear it's kinda anti meta in this game and the base Eldlich stuff looks pretty cheap to craft outside of the G man himself. Except I don't really know shit about it besides running a buncha traps lol. Anyone know the optimal thing to combine it with? Invoked or Dogmatika?

So yeah...I'm making my Ancient Warriors deck as toxic as possible lol. Put in 3 Maxx C's, 3 Nibirus, 3 Kaijus, and a Zoodiac package to get into Zeus just in case. Only thing I'm missing is Simorgh and Wind Barrier Statue lol

I kinda want to throw out the Tribrigade stuff but it's such a good backup plan just in case. Might go pure when they add Dong Zhuo and the new Ancient Warrior Spell

Goddamn it's insanely easy to build a deck you want if you know what you're doing. Basically just do the solo missions for a bit, just completing the Monarch one alone should be enough. Use it to craft some SR or UR of the archetype you want to go for, and that'll unlock its pack for 24 hours. Just pull the f out of that pack and you'll eventually have a deck

Make sure to buy the battle pass which is just a cheap 600 gems. Buy all the Special packs like Ash Blossom, Lightning Storm, Solemn Johnson, all solid splashable cards. That shit is all basically free lmao

Also the Solo mode stuff has some pretty nice little blurbs about each archetypes. You can use them to gauge if you like that archetype, but some of them are really old and I don't fully recommend it

The overall UI is nice as hell too. It's pretty much what both sides of the audience wanted I think

It feels like pretty f2p but I can see how it'll dry up after the initial burst. Hopefully Konami realizes how good they can make this game, especially for the hardcore crowd that wants more than Duel Links, and does good with progressions such as events, solo content, etc.

Playing yugioh to win gets old only following meta tends. I'm pretty happy just playing decks I enjoy like ABC. Really sad Dragon Buster Cannon is limited though...

@Phantom_Nook Like I said, you can force the unlock of secret packs simply by crafting a UR or SR of that archetype. So right now you can just use SR mats to craft a Thunder Dragon roar, Thunder Dragon hawk, matrix or dark and it should unlock the Roar of Thunder Secret pack. Sadly, it seems Dragonhawk is limited to 1, Roar to 2 but holy shit Colossus is at 1 and not banned :0

I did it. I friggin did it. My opponent was playing Bird Up so I Maxx C'd for like...10+ cards in my hand then Nibiru'd their ass lmao

Even though my deck is probably sufficient for the low ranks, I always get nervous going on Ranked. Im 3/3, though the latest one was a Cyber Dragon Deck that wiped my board, though I was fortunately able to claw it back because one of my Synchros can revive itself under good circumstances.

Lol I'm just fuckin around mainly on ranked. I know I'm complaining a lot ITT but at it's core, YGO is a game largely determined by luck so it's just best not to stress :p

Also holy shit the Blue-Eyes stuff is rarity expensive as hell. Alternatives, melody of the awakening dragons, trade-ins, etc.

Lmao I swear I have the worst luck in this game. Losing to decks I absolutely shouldn't because my opponents draw the nuts and I always draw brickhands

Finally got my Gunner to level 25, and decided to switch over to the Driller to try him out, but I feel so weak now! I'm sure once I get that cryo-gun I'll be able to help out more, but I feel like such a hindrance not being able to support the team like I did as Gunner. Boo, they banned Mystic Mine. However, they made Sky Striker Engage semi limited as well as Widow Anchor. Waiting for iOS version to release soon so I can make a solid SS deck for online play

If you happen to have a playstation and ps plus, I recommend at least starting on there because you get 50 free legacy packs. Lots of garbage in there but the crafting mats are definitely welcome!

Naw not at all. It's like the regular game where people go through their entire deck on turn 1, wipe your entire field and OTK you. Or set up a board with 5+ negates and laugh as you can't play.

Ah okay. I think they're in rogue tier ATM, especially with Destroy Phoenix Enforcer (which isn't in the game yet) but from the subreddit I hear they're divided up into three packs so scraping for all the cards might be rough. Don't know about rarities yet

In case it makes a difference, you can apparently also craft SR cards to unlock Secret Packs as well. Not sure if the cards you listed are all UR or if Im just repeating stuff you know

Yes I think I mentioned it earlier in this thread. But to make sure, always check the card details of the SR/UR and click How to Obtain to make sure there's a secret pack associated with it. Some of the more generic stuff can only be crafted or from the master pack, which I wouldn't recommend because it has over 4000 cards in it.

Man. I'm torn on whether to spend crafting mats on staples like Maxx C, hand traps, Dark Ruler, etc or to use em to unlock cards for secret packs for new decks <__< Gotta grind and get my ass stomped for more currency I guess lol

Yeah the Monarch scenario bgm was amazing. And I love the shifts in tone during battle phase, when one player is low on Laps, etc

Having decklists be searchable is nice but I hope they add some better filters. A lot of them are clearly people learning how to play having random amounts of cards over 40.

Haha it's just tons of practice honestly. And a game like this is great especially if you have friends to play test not so tryhard decks with. I want to eventually make a penguin deck to fuck around with but I think it's missing cards because the game is missing 1-2 sets or so

Also the fun thing right now is that even if you run into a lot of tryhards in ranked right now, you're bound to run into players just coming back into the game after ten years or coming from duel links who aren't as sweaty

I had an intense duel with a Shagdoll deck. Won it with the Harpie deck I built, because I got lucky and ran into a Harpie secret booster and knew how to build a Harpie deck.

Yep! You can either luck into a theme's secret booster or craft an SR or UR of that theme (check to see what pack it's obtainable from) and it'll force that secret pack to come out. Really cool mechanic for the game.

I got hit with Maxx C's in two different duels today. Makes me wanna craft 3 to use for myself lol. Interesting banlist they're using to say the least, and it'll be interesting going forward when they implement the different formats/banlists.

Also, do you guys wanna keep this topic or should I make one with a more proper title? Also if y'all want me to make a new topic, let me know if you're interested so I can tag you
