| TigerTycoon 09/26/21 11:44:02 PM #427 | I feel like Dragon Maid S ended kind of suddenly. I enjoyed how they gave more screen time to the other characters, but I was expecting there to be more resolution to Ilulu's story, or more Ilulu in general, but there just isn't. Her past doesn't catch up to her in any way like Tohru's does. I know it's typical for slice of life to end with drama but I never felt Dragon Maid did that particularly well compared to it's comedy, and the last 2 episodes where among the weakest in my opinion for that reason. Nitpick because it's a comedy, but Tohru's past being revealed kind of puts into question why "being an evil chaos dragon" is part of her character, when she wasn't raised by the Chaos Faction. --- YOU COULDN'T AFFORD IT! |

I'm not saying they need to or anything, it's perfectly fine being ignored, it just reminds me of how Star Trek hilariously did try to explain this same issue, by saying an ancient race of super advanced aliens who looked humanoid implanted their DNA throughout the galaxy in microorganisms so they would be immortalized after their civilization eventually collapsed, and that's who so many alien species also evolved to look human. --- YOU COULDN'T AFFORD IT! |

If we're talking about traditional zombies that move slowly and need to bite you to infect you than most abled body people should be able to defend themselves and the injection shouldn't spread as fast as most movies portray since the number of non infected should vastly outnumber the infected at the start. Also, depends on the location, as there is a big difference from a small town where everyone has guns, and, a big city where nobody has guns. If we're talking about an airborne virus that's a much larger problem, but now it would depends in if you "zombify" once infected, or you need to "die" before you turn into a zombie. Also, if we're using realistic science, zombies that don't eat should continue to decay over time by themselves until they can't move anymore. If we're talking a massively infectious airborne virus that survives without moisture or body heat for long periods of time, the the fact that it causes "zombies" is actually incredibly irrelevant at that point. --- YOU COULDN'T AFFORD IT! |

There are a few preachy TNG episodes that talk about how all of humanity is that way now, people don't fear death and just want to keep improving humanity, and old humanity was weird for not thinking the same, but that is not reflected in many other Star Trek shows outside of TNG (even within the same timeline). I thought they were just things guards held in medieval times to discourage people from fucking around.Halberds and pole arms were weapons of war, not things you held on a daily basis. But unlike fantasy weapons, real life weapons are much smaller and thinner, so they could actually be held and used instead of being a giant weight nobody could actually use. Sword were more analogous to modern handguns, people carried them around because they were a convenient to have at all times side arm, not because they were deemed more effective than other weapons. --- YOU COULDN'T AFFORD IT! |

| TigerTycoon 03/17/21 3:03:24 PM #4 | The thing is the way Monster Hunter works is a large portion of the community moves to the new game after it's released, reducing the amount of people playing the previous one. However, as Nintendo paid for a year of exclusivity, the game will also be coming to PC next year, so the PC community will likely be holding off on their purchase until than, which in theory means the PC community for World should not be too empty. World/Iceborne was designed to be a lot more casual friendly than previous MH games, and Rise is an evolution of that, so it should be fine, but if you're worried, wait until after release for a purchase, or try World when it's on sale (World isn't on the Switch though, so that depends on what consoles/PC you have). --- YOU COULDN'T AFFORD IT! |
