The Thing is IMO the greatest film ever made, but I'm a huge sucker for great practical effects.

He's come a long way from being a horrible CGI scorpion monster in a Mummy movie.

The amount of pressure on her from being ridiculously hyped up by NBC for ratings and the media at large must have been absolutely insane. But she is still by definition a quitter in the end.

The zombie boom ended years ago. It'll get solid ratings because it's a big budget HBO show and the game is/was very popular, but I highly doubt it'll become any sort of cultural phenomenon. It could also just straight up bomb because video game adaptations are always cursed by some sort of law of the universe.

It's the most technically amazing video game ever made, but unless you're big into flight sims you probably won't play it much once the initial amazement wears off. Outside of takeoffs and landings you're just staring out a window for potentially 10+ hours after all.

AFAIK there's no real preference either way and neither is considered offensive. The actual tribe name e.g., Cherokee/Sioux/Navaho/etc is the preferred.

Triple Triad is the best FF minigame.

They wrote themselves into a corner and decided to write prequels instead. At the end of Fusion basically everything you've encountered in the entire series is dead, destroyed, or blown up except the animals and Samus is wearing the fusion suit forever (which isn't that bad looking imo) and they just had no idea where to go from there.

I think national average is around $12 atm and that's up considerably due to labor issues lately. It used to be like $9-$10 not long ago.

Fast food starts at $15 right now where I am, and I'm not in a big city. They're absolutely desperate.

I can't believe anyone willingly signs up to be an Amazon delivery driver at this point. If you're that desperate for any sort of real job then go flip burgers or work in retail, there are tons of openings most places these days there and they can't possibly pay much less than being a delivery driver while being far less demanding.

I mean, the two topics directly below the new one, both posted mid-April, were announcing the open beta for it.

We got a very large amount of feedback from it, and fixed most of the common complaints from it. The sample size just wasn't enough, clearly, and the rollout came too suddenly. It was a good learning lesson, though, so hopefully future rollouts will be much smoother. Can't really say much more than that we messed up and hope to do better next time, really.

I fully support the idea to merge the game boards for the same game across different systems, as I've personally had to switch between them and search on all of them for various questions. Can that not be done without a complete overhaul of everything?
