Floor Tech for a nursing home. Got let go after a week, due to merger.

Waiting on my tax refund to get some new clothes and stuff, meantime Im applying for jobs and trying to find something to make some money. Sup CE? Almost homeless here. Landlord wants to sell house that Im in, and has a buyer but is giving me time to find a place.

I wish there was more people out there like you, Im at the end of my rope. Not one of my relatives except my brother who is struggling himself helped me out and a lot of them I helped pay tickets and bills. Talk about pain.. getting stabbed in the back like that.

do you think he is correct? I know people of all races have pets but tbh a lot of white people seem to have the biggest obsession with it. And pet ownership is usually a sign of massive privilege seeing that they literally for some reason are wealthy enough to devote time and resources to a literal animal.

Ok but how much are you working? Are you working 40-50 hours a week? If so you can probably afford to move out. That might mean getting a roommate or making working a side job.

It really comes down to what are you willing to sacrifice to do it. That doesnt always have to be luxury items. It might mean you have to sacrifice solitude to live with someone else. I would still rather do that then live with my parents though.

My point wasnt to judge anyway. I lived with my parents after college for a bit so I get it. Im just saying this notion that people just cant afford to it period isnt true. They can afford it but with considerable sacrifice.

The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. Yes, housing costs are overpriced but there are also a lot of people who are just lazy. I know because I used to be one of them. I got tired of not being in control of my life and decided Id do whatever necessary.

Oh, I made almost 1K bi weekly. I lived at home cause my mother needed me.

As a republican, not sure why my own party is even surprised. Anything Disney is notoriously liberal.

I think this post hits it right on the head. Its not that people cant afford to move out or its too tough out there. Its the fact people dont want to give up their lifestyle and sacrifice for their independence. People dont want to say no to going out on the weekends. People dont want to say no to new cars/clothes/consoles. I know because Ive been there.

If you can learn when to say no and sacrifice its not impossible. Money is more accessible than ever.

Cost of living is high though. Absolute bullshit there are no laws that limit rent increases.

I shop at thift shops, I get my vehicles from a buy here/pay here, my last system before the Xbox one S that I have? The original Xbox that launched back in 1999. My lifestyle is that of a middle aged divorced dad without kids
