is like a million near your minimum requirement to live there?

what's your minimum net gain/profit that you would accept?

If so I'd have to do some research.

lmao what. how much do you think it would cost to live in the Philippines for a year? $500,000?

You were required to stay inside the cafeteria for your entire lunch period at my school. There were outdoor tables and seats, but you couldn't have your lunch out there. You couldn't leave early. You couldn't use the microwave to heat up any food you brought from home. Even if you were eighteen, you couldn't leave campus to get food.

We also had assigned seating/tables depending on how much of a bitch your teacher for that period was. The assistant principal would often stalk up and down the rows of tables to catch people not in their assigned place. She did this for kindergarten through twelfth grade.

assigned seating for lunch? wtf

I always found those schools in tv shows / movies where everyone was just in this one big cavernous square or large rectangular building pretty weird. Going from class to class, lunch, etc all indoors all the time. My schools have always been a group of small/medium buildings.

Also weird to me are lunch scenes where everyone was hanging out in the cafeteria? Lunch here everyone was outside.

Example, my high school (I hung out at the grassy mound in the middle) :

It is simple mathematics: you divide the time by the speed multiplier. You're trying to use linear logic for a non-linear problem.

That doesn't even make any sense. My explanation makes more sense and is easier to comprehend and is intuitive. Occam's Razor, man.

If everyone is so sure about their answers, why don't they try making a 10 minute audio file, speeding it up to 1.5x normal, and time how long it takes to play back?

just use your brain

CuriousPoops posted...
if a 10 minute video takes 10 mins at regular 1x speed, and 5 mins at 2.x speed, therefore watching it at 1.5x (halfway between 1x and 2x) speed would take 7 min 30 sec (halfway between 10 and 5 mins)

1.5 speed means you play for 1 second per 1.5 seconds of video, multiply this by seconds of video to get the seconds played

[(1 second played)/(1.5 s video)]*600 s video = x s played
400 s played = x s played
x = 400

400 seconds played = 6 minutes 40 seconds

that's a common mistake. you just have to think of this logically

if a 10 minute video takes 10 mins at regular 1x speed, and 5 mins at 2.x speed, therefore watching it at 1.5x (halfway between 1x and 2x) speed would take 7 min 30 sec (halfway between 10 and 5 mins)

it's simple mathematics

Interesting. The US version seems to deliberately avoid doing that (at least in the seasons I've watched), probably go contrast with the other Gordon Ramsay show Hell's Kitchen which is 60% out of the kitchen drama.

the difference, unlike the typical US show, there is little to no "drama"

DeadBankerDream posted...
What do they spend all that time on?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MasterChef_Australia_(series_2)#Episodes_and_Ratings

just a lot more challenges, also a masterclass once a week where they learn how to cook dishes from chefs

the skill level of the contestants was also way higher
