The way I see it you can do it in ways. Like make rules that those outside of US regions must gift games from sites like gamesplanet or greenmangaming

Or atbest can add funds instead of gifting games since gifting games across regions isn't possible for most users

This tbf. Most people giving know who normally gifts or not. Plus the point is in gifting to gift, not gifting so that you get something in return. If someone has an issue with another user they feel is taking the piss, they just won't gift that person. There's no need to call people out for it - there's no mandate stipulating that you have to gift so what's the point? By and large, these threads have always been chill. Why try and cause drama? Edit: obviously the last part isn't aimed aimed at teep_ but the poster they were responding to.

Yeah pretty much this. Like I didn't honestly expect to get even Indivisible of all. Gifting essentially just makes you good because you're doing charity which does more to you than it does to the other.

The ones whom I've gifted I've actually gone out of my way to get the keys that weren't on sale and gift them. I could just not do it entirely but eh..why not? So long as others can play the games, It doesn't matter.

Thats so strange. - as long as youre friends with the person on Steam it should allow you to purchase as gift for that friend?

Sadly it doesn't. I first tried this for Alwa when adding him as friend but that doesn't work because Steam detects from which region you're from. So if I'm gifting a game to someone of a different region where my currency exchange rate is lower than of the other region, Steam won't accept that for whatever reason.

However it works the other way around somehow...and that's how I got games from my brother back then and even now..its so dumb in all honesty and Valve needs to fix this.

I think it won't work that easily if you're adding him as a friend now. I just tried it and it won't work.

Guess if that's the case, you're only option would be to use something like Play-Asia to get steam funds.

I tried adding @ArianaGrandSlam to Steam but I can neither send him the game that he wanted nor can I add funds to his steam account since he's not eligible.

Is there a way to get the Steam Key of Alwa's Legacy and send it as a gift? This may be a problem for those in different regions...

True story..I actually waited for Octopath fall sale before winter but it never went on sale so I used up all my funds my bro gave me for other games that I filled up for wishlist..only to realize that the game got a sale on winter...and I'm like..wut?

I doubt the games will come to the sale for this season but who knows..I still like giving out games to others cause I find it a bit rewarding.
