How bad did it hurt? at the time it felt like a standard bump to the head. in my case, just under my left eye. it fractured both my orbital and the bridge of my nose. those were sore for a week or two, but i had a NASTY shiner. i had friends invite me over for supper the next day just to see it lmao. i don't have pics of the shiner but i have a selfie just after getting hit if anyone wants to see. the doctor told me it was a good thing i was wearing thick glasses because otherwise i might have lost my eye. for reference, the glasses were the BCGs or birth control goggles they issued me in air force basic training (2007 for me, but they have better looking ones now). barely had a scratch on them afterwards. i was only wearing them because i was waiting for my base's optometry sections to replace my wireframes i had broken a couple weeks prior. this was in portugal, specifically terceira island in the azores btw so even if the guy yelled something idk if it would have been the same word. he came down from where he was about 100 yds away and apologized, and the course manager came out to tell me i'd get a free game next time i golfed. long story short the next time i went there they reneged and made me pay. --- |
