I love the map choice, makes it feel like I have to bother to learn the world rather then the "hand holding" most games do giving you a GPS tracking system and glaringly obvious waypoint markers. Its great to have to triangulate your position, because of this, I never even ended up using the compass charm. Story? A front and center narrative does not make a game better, as someone else said, if thats your preferred method of storytelling thats fine but just because the lore is background doesnt make it any less rich. Also I highly disagree on the graphics/artstyle. Hollow Knight has some of the most gorgeous art and backgrounds/etc that I have ever seen in a game. Comparing it to Bloodstained is a joke. The half baked 3D models in that game, while not bad are still very behind when even compared to a low powered console like the Switch. Its okay, you dont have to like Hollow Knight but your opinion sucks lol. --- |
