Her spiritual powers dwarf Mayas and she also stayed in the village her whole life until Maya dragged her out. I feel like this could have been an amicable transition between both parties. Maya seems like she would have been fine with it and so would Morgan. The real underlying problem with this however is surrendering power to Morgan who will manipulate Pearl. Maybe Misty was aware of this? Bigger question is the selection criteria for the next master. Does Misty select the next master? incidentally, did anyone else find Mistys actions in the game to be a bit dumb? Im having a hard time trying to understand why she didnt come out of hiding after 1-4. Or why she didnt ask Nick for help. (This doesnt affect my opinion of the game at all. Ive always found compelling and intricate storylines to be built on delicate foundations, and Im willing to overlook them) --- |

His motivations and disdain for Phoenix are so believable and realistic that you really can't end up hating him at the end. He fits well against the super evil Manfred and Matt Engarde very well. Just a warning about Apollo Justice, there is a 7 year time skip and the tone does changeI also liked the implicit parallel with the Berry Circus case. The girls inability to comprehend death drove Acro irrationally mad to the point of murder. The girl is a bit similar to Phoenix. When playing this game I never got the sense that Phoenix mourned Mia in a way thats consistent with most normal humans. He instead went about his way solving case after case without much of a deterrence or sense of grief. I noticed it and thought it was a bit weird. And the game knew. 2 games later and this weird feeling regarding Phoenix manifested into Godot. side note: Anyone else feel like Pearls endured way too much in this series? Wish they woulda lightened some of the burden she has to carry. A little girl shouldnt have had to go through what her mother did to her in the 2nd game let alone the stuff shes gonna have to live with at the end of this case. Writers coulda eased up on her just a little bit --- |

| WalkingLobsters 06/13/21 2:46:21 AM #6 | Just finished it. Still got goosebumps and I feel my cheeks radiating. Never experienced any story as engaging and heartfelt as this. Godots breakdown in the end was tearjerking. The whole time I was thinking why did he execute such a shitty strategy to save Maya. I was ready to dismiss the narrative for falling apart, and then he broke down and couldnt even answer that question himself. And it honestly made me question a lot of decisions Ive made in my own life, and why I took those actions, and my immediate desire for blame. Man. Honestly thought this was just a kids game with a procedural narrative solve the new case of the day. The complex storyline driven by foundational human emotions with tiered motivations all entangled together hit me like nothing else. Not even just the main story is amazing. Each of the fillers were compelling in their own rights. Rise from the Ashes and Stolen Turnabout were exceptional, and are my favorite cases tbh. Easily one of my favorite game series of all time. Going to give this another play through after I get done with the rest of the other games. --- |

Gave me goosebumps. dont spoil the rest of the game please. Playing through it now. One of the most captivating video games Ive ever played. Wanted to play it as a kid but didnt want to waste Christmas/birthday presents on a text game adventure. Boy did I make a mistake. I have never played a game with a more engaging story and brilliant characters. --- |

I've played it like 2 years ago, and I've been playing every game from 0 to 6 since then (halfway through 5) and damn, the combat looks so fluid. And seeing Kiryu so young after seeing him age is something.yeah I fucking love the combat. All the different styles and heat finishers keep it varied enough for me to not get repetitive. It helps a lot that the boss fights are all fun and difficult AF. I played through the game without using items during boss fights. Made it insanely fun. --- |

A few people, maybe around 15, were on the leaderboard (all the names except mine were Japanese) all playing tetris trying to beat each other. Me and one other person were going back and forth for the #1 spot. It was really fun and I ended up taking #1. Killed so much time. Flight was fun AF. --- |
