I think a lot of it was due as to the context of when that song came out too. At the time Nicki was still fresh on the mainstream scene, and had only put out some garbage singles, so her verse was unexpectedly good.She is easily the best verse on Monster, Jay Z kinda flops on that song tbh and Kanye is good, but Nicki brought so much energy. I always thought she was a great feature, way better to have her on someone elses song rather than on her own. But by no means is it the best verse on that album. Almost cried myself to sleep that night and only got two hours and had a full day of work the next day. The pain is just so real.
