We don't. The current situation with GME isn't about retail investors making money. It's about mega rich banks destroying their competition so they can acquire them and further consolidate wealth into a fewer amount of mega banks.

However, July is a 3 paycheck month at my current employer, and I cant afford to miss that extra check.

If new job is on opposite schedule, I couldnt start until 7/26 essentially.

in a perfect world, Ill be able to get the extra check and refinance. But I dont know if timeline will allow. Thoughts?

Call your lender and ask. They're usually not as strict about refinancing as they are with applying for the loan in the first place. You may be able to do both.

I must say I'm quite curious. It apparently takes place on basically the same map, but it's been in development for ages, and seems like development has been troubled. Is it because they don't have ideas, or because they're trying some ambitious stuff we haven't heard about yet?

This game was originally planned to be DLC but it got so big / scope creeped that they made it standalone.

That said, it's worth a few bucks to not have to deal with that shit myself.

It's honestly not hard. The hardest part is literally getting down on your back and getting back up and it literally takes less time than driving to an oil change shop. All you need are some wheel ramps to lift up the car, slide underneath on a skateboard, twist open a nut, watch the oil drain into a pan, put the nut back, put in the new oil.

It's like actually easier than building a PC.
