In the olden days of the 80s and 90s, games were certainly more punishing when it came to failure. If you died, you often had to start over from the beginning. Then there are the games that didn't have save or password features meaning you have to clear them in one sitting. Today's games are far more forgiving, but also tend to be a bit more brutal in terms of what they throw at you. Sure you'll be dying a lot but you also don't lose nearly as much progress as in the past. Games today are also a looooot longer than they used to be. Most older games can be beaten in just a few hours with some practice, now games are 100+ hours long at minimum. --- CONGRATULATIONS! You have saved your lovely Tina. Yattane Takahashi! |
