I love having this argument because it really exposes people's bias.

I think a lot of English fans in particular still dislike Ronaldo from his time at United and overrate Messi vs him just on that.

I don't think cherry picking is even close to what I'm doing. And the Euro that Ronaldo won is not half as relevant as the Champions Leagues Ronaldo has won versus Messi. That and winning titles in different leagues will always be more impressive.

Pundits saying they didn't rate the performance but I disagree. It wasn't dynamite or electric and you didn't rip Croatia apart but keeping a clean sheet was a big deal and I thought the efficiency was through the roof. England looked very well organized. I was super impressed with a few performances (Phillips, Mings) despite being underwhelmed by Kane up top.
