I died a few times to the boss on this stage, but more from minions than him.

Giants is easy, they hit like a truck but every attack they have winds up for a solid five seconds.

Sovereign for sure was dead dead. And in ME3 Its implied that Reapers were taking surprisingly hefty losses at times.

But you are correct in that the crucible is the only way to prevent any risk indoctrination, as it eliminates the ability for their technology to send off their mind control signals
I didn't communicate that well, you're right.

The Crucible is basically the only way to completely kill a Reaper.

Even the ones that take catastrophic damage are still "radioactive" for lack of a better term.

So if you went into Kalros's big pile of shit after eating that Reaper on Tuchanka, it could still indoctrinate.

The Crucible kills Reapers dead, no more chance of infection.

The people are more complicated, I'd assume there's still major mental trauma but nothing is actively manipulating them.

Thank you, I was proud of that one.

Beat Act 2 of the cultist chapter.

The level itself wasn't bad, but the boss was a doozy.

I thought I could finish it by killing him, and by the time I did I was out of potions and had a screen full of minions that were not obligingly disappearing.

Couple that with the boss being able to summon ghosts, half the minions being able to summon ghosts...

I ended up running back and forth with guerilla tactics and trying desperately to get Guen summons.

Had to full-on trigger my invisibility and hide to regain health at one point.

How many minions were there?

I had to summon Guen TWICE.

Beat the boss in Act 2 of that section.

Got lucky, I did an Execution on one of his Gnolls and it somehow hit the boss AND both of the Gnoll Garradors.

Did a good fifth to quarter of the boss and a solid 80% on the Garradors.

Popped a Blink, did more mad damage to the boss, then had to trigger a Battle Frenzy to survive.
