So do these people think theyre gonna have power next month if they refuse to pay their bill?
I think its mostly to avoid a $1500-$4000 charge that they almost assuredly cannot afford and having their credit card default or having an overdraft fee on their debit card.

Are you responsible for the power bill to your place of residence CE?

Texas friends- TAKE YOUR ELECTRIC BILLS OFF AUTO-PAY. My billing cycle just started this week and its already 8 TIMES my normal payment with 25 days left to go. I sat in the dark and barely used my heat. We need to demand relief for these bills. This is so criminal and evil.

I've lived in an area that had one primary power supplier and every winter, like clockwork, power bills would skyrocket. Even if you weren't home for most of the month.

"oh you spent weeks away and didn't leave the heat running or have any/many electronics plugged in? Welp, here's a $110 power bill. What's that? You were home all summer and spent all day playing games and watching TV? $40 power bill"

Presuming this is calling out Ted Cruz. Would you vote for someone that you wouldn't trust to watch your dog?

That Ted Cruz leaving his dog alone in the house with no heat or power is a pretty big non-story, ngl.

Literally only been in office a month. What do you expect him to do? Invent global green energy in a weekend?
The Right expected him to have all those green energy jobs immediately ready for the "tens of thousands" of fossil fuel jobs he'd get rid of by shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline.

He also said he'd cancel $50k of student loan debt, but now it's down to $10k
This is how politics works though, if you pay any amount of attention.

It's like going to a pawn shop, you should know what you're getting into.

"I want $50K for this family heirloom"

"I'll give you $5K"

"$15K"

"$10K take it or leave it"

except you're not actually in the store and you've sent a Representative to do the negotiating with, so by the time you get your money you're looking at a tax credit

I did for months but then it eventually one day updated.

I was stationed in El Paso for 3 years, so I technically lived in Texas for 3 years but El Paso is quite different from the general expectations of Texas.

tbh Project Triangle Strategy would've been fine if they had just shut the fuck up.

but because they couldn't it was by far the most insufferable part of the entire goddamned Direct

Define affordable.

I've been absolutely spoiled by my Bose QC35IIs, if that's what you mean by on-ears. not exactly "affordable" though, well worth the money and way better than anything you'll ever get that's cheap.
