Topic6 Dr. Seuss books to stop being published due to racist depictions

I actually think I owned the book(s) in the last two pictures as a kids, as I vividly remember those parts. In fact knowing how little of most stuff I owned they were probably the only things of Dr. Seuss I actually owned.

Not sure if I still have them, a lot of my childhood books were either sold or given to my cousins.

I like working from home way more then I thought I would, but I still want to go back to the office. You lose that interaction with your co-workers that is kind of key to being able to work effectively together. Hell, I haven't even met anyone on my current team yet other then in meetings, so asking them questions is always awkward because I don't know how to properly approach the issue in a way that would be beneficial to both of us. Not to mention the co-workers who's houses are WAY to busy and you always hear distractions over the call anytime they are talking (or worse, when they don't even mute themselves).

Would I want to go back 5 days a week? No, but 2-3 days would be fine.

Yea, I have never used that. I pretty much just leave it in the 90 degree position. I might switch to 120 degree during a long meeting but usually not.

This is mine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N8T4BBT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Obviously not a mesh chair, I could never get comfortable in those. I like it due to the lumbar pillow and head cushion, although it admittedly doesn't match the ascetic of my office. I just didn't want to spend the money on one that actually matches my desk (and would arguably be less comfortable).

The guy the made Terraria had all his google stuff deleted including his YouTube channel and his email of over a decade. Dude spent weeks trying to communicate with someone and find out what happened but he got no explanation, even though he was in the process of porting Terraria over to Stadia which has now obviously been cancelled.

Seems like each part of their company has no idea or even awareness of what the other parts are doing.
That is true of all big companies. I have worked at companies much smaller then Google where two different departments were literally working on two different versions of the same project for years and never realized it. And don't even get me started on working on a project personally sanctioned by the CEO of the company and encountering red tape from departments that even the CEO apparently didn't have the power to override.

A couple of my secret accounts got banned a few months back, which was odd because I never uploaded any videos to them. Granted, they were accounts I used to view/subscribe to channels I didn't want on my main's history, but was that really a reason to ban those accounts?

YouTube can be odd with that stuff sometimes.

To get into those schools you have to sign a contract that pretty much clearly states the rules by which your kids are allowed to remain in the school. Break those rules, and the kids are kicked out. If you don't like it, you shouldn't be sending your kids to those schools in the first place. The rules are only going to change if they can't get enough students to enroll to keep the school running. Given that most catholic schools have a rather large waiting list, that certainly isn't happening anytime soon.

They are the reason insurance companies do partial fault in liability decisions.

They bitch and moan about it but they deserve only partial payments when they share some fault by being that stupid.
I think most insurance companies don't care for the most part. Unless there is an injury claim, insurance companies will gladly pay out on an accident even if their driver isn't fully at fault. Think about it, $20k - $30k for a claim (and that is if both cars are totaled) is nothing compared to the amount of money they make daily. The only time it starts to hurt their bottom line is when personal injury makes those claims go into the 6-7 figures.

The biggest thing I remember about 4 (and it was probably coming from this board back in the day) was that people were complaining about the graphics being too realistic. They were hoping that the graphic style would remain "cartoony" like the GTA 3 games (which was more of a product of Rockstar not having the budget of a AAA studio when 3 came out more than anything).

Oh, that and getting the "Cousin! Let's go bowling!" phone call every 5 minutes.

5 is miles better than 4, but it honestly felt like the single player is kind of lacking (which is surprising since it is arguably the biggest GTA single player campaign to date). Like they put all the effort into GTA Online and just put the single player out as a demo to show off the Online features.

I think they are both about even. Both of them I spent 2 hours on, got frustrated with the controls, and never played them again.

I feel like Twilight Princess on the Wii was just enough motion controls, and SS did way too much motion controls.
