As a connoisseur of Peanuts (look at my fucking name, Franklin was actually created with the help of an African American teacher. She asked Charles Schultz to put in a black character and his concern was that he would be patronizing black people since he could not speak to their experiences.

So the teacher and Charles Schultz worked together to help create Franklin.

Not only that, but when dealing with complaints from Southern papers, Schulz made it clear how little he cared for their opinions.

During one heated phone conversation with the editor of a southern paper, Schulz is said to have sighed audibly and said to the man, Well, Larry, lets put it this way: Either you print it just the way I draw it or I quit. Hows that?

She thought her oldest son was doing well because even though he failed most of his classes, he was being promoted.

This happened to me. I was a solid B student in elementary school, then once I got to middle school, I ended up developing undiagnosed ADD. Couldn't make myself focus or care about school work or homework (I still aced most of my tests, though). Failed every single class in 7th grade, they kicked me up to 8th. Rinse and repeat, now I'm in high school.

Technically, that's where it stopped, because once you're in HS it goes by credits not years, and I only ever had 4.5 out of the 5 you needed to progress. So I was a 'permanent freshman' until I quit and got my GED.

Mr Potato Head is still Mr Potato Head. Mrs Potato Head is still Mrs Potato Head.

They aren't changing the names of the individual toys, merely the brand they are all under. The brand is dropping the Mr. But the individual toys are not dropping their titles or genders.

Everyone needs to learn to fact check shit before getting their knickers twisted.

And this particular change makes sense. It has nothing to do with gender issues. It hasn't been just Mr Potato Head for a long time. The brand label that they fall under should reflect that. They're all Potato Heads, but not all of them are a Mr.

Then they really should have made that clearer in the initial announcement.

Could have saved themselves some grief.

It doesn't seem very well cut. If you have a UV light you can shine it on it. Most diamonds glow at some intensity.

Another thing to do is put it in an oven at 1405 F and this diamond will just turn into nothing, Where as plastic would melt and burn, and glass would just turn hot.

WTF what kind of oven do you have.

Technically, he (along with others) wasn't intentionally trying to look up her dress, but everytime she took a swing, well...kinda like when tennis chicks serve, you really can't help but notice...
But it was kinda creep of him to even bring it up...
