"An Ohio man is accused of raping a teenager girl and taking nude photos of her while living under her bed for weeks."

"Wright allegedly held the teen down and forced her to have sex. According to prosecutors, she knew he was living under her bed but her mother did not."

"Wright was arrested after the girl's mother discovered him. It's unclear whether the girl invited Wright to stay at her home, and it's also unclear whether he ever left the home while allegedly living there."

update

Interesting.

"According to one incident report, an African-American man approached a woman walking in the area on April 8, put his hand around her waist and then put her hand down the side of her shorts. The woman then pushed away and when she did, her shorts partially came down. As she pulled her shorts back up, the man put his arm around her waist for a second time, according to the incident report. The woman then ran back into her home.
A second incident report showed on April 10 a woman was walking when an African-American man approached her and picked up a baby who was with her. The woman said he tried to walk away with the baby but she grabbed the child back. She said this happened three times before she told the man it was not her baby and she "did not have the right to allow people to hold the child." She then went home and said she wanted to prosecute, but no charges have been filed, according to the incident report.
Officials have not confirmed whether the man seen in the video is involved with any of those incident reports."

Subway isn't terrible but I guess it's not that memorable and the branding is just getting tired and folding to all the newer competition that has been popping up the last 5-10 years.

Not sure how they can turn it around. To me, Subway just seems.... old and boring and non-original. I guess they need to change something up, but not sure what suggestions I'd give them.

"The six cases out of 6.8 million doses given in the U.S. involve a rare and severe type of blood clot called cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, which was seen in combination with low levels of blood platelets, the FDA and CDC said in a joint statement. All of the cases involve women between the ages of 18 and 48, and the symptoms occurred 6 to 13 days after vaccination.
These are not the typical blood clots we usually think of in the leg, for example those occur with a frequency of hundreds of thousands per year, Azar noted. The girlfriend is the prosecution's witness (the people trying to convict Chauvin). They brought her on the stand to say good things about Floyd, but his and her addictions were also brought up because if they didn't bring it up and have her on the stand, the defense would have made a case that the prosecution is hiding things from the Jury and it could cast doubt in Jurors minds and make them think that the prosecution is trying to hide stuff. The defense could say "Oh look what they're trying to hide from you. Look what they don't want you to know. This is what George Floyd did, etc."

So it's sort of a good strategy for the prosecution to get negative information out of the way and be transparent.

She wasn't required to take the stand by anyone.

It's not a personal choice when it can kill other people, is the thing.

It's a personal choice, and by law, it literally is a personal choice. There is no government mandate saying otherwise. So quite literally, it is a personal choice. People who feel they are vulnerable to the virus and feel they can benefit from the vaccine should take it and socially distance if they're worried about it.

If you're concerned, take the vaccine, "mask up" and continue to conduct your business or daily routines how you see fit.

These types of scams really upset me. Some of these robocalling scams are terrible and seem relatively untraceable/uncatchable for the vast majority of times (a lot of them are based overseas). These usually seem to affect older individuals and more education is key. But some people have lost their life savings to these or a significant amount of money. It really gets me upset that our older/more vulnerable population is getting taken advantage of.

They call so many people. All it takes is one or two a day getting scammed out of thousands to make it worth it for them.

I dont think wearing a mask everyday will actively lower your immune system. There are plenty of ways our body builds up an immunity. Vaccines are one way. Added protection so our body doesnt have to work as hard when we do get sick, will probably give us a stronger immune system honestly. As our body wont be fatigued in constantly dealing with things.

Also I wasnt saying that everyone should be forced to wear a mask. I just meant for it to be normalized so it is pretty common to see people with and without masks. No where did I say mandates should be normalized.

Fair enough. If someone wants to wear a mask, that's fine by me. Same if someone wants to take the vaccine. People should do what they feel is best for themselves.

So what is your source for this? This was the first link when I typed into google if masks lower your immune system.

https://www.henryford.com/blog/2020/11/debunking-covid19-mask-myths

Without doing too much research, it seems like the response you quotes brings up more questions than answers. Googling immunity, one of the first results states, "Immunity is acquired actively when a person is exposed to foreign substances and the immune system responds. "

So it'd be interesting to know if the doctor in that article thinks masks don't protect people from being exposed to foreign substances.....

The obvious answer is that you can't live your whole life trying to escape a virus. And wearing your mask for one second, but taking it off a few feet in the door, etc. doesn't help anyone. It's purely madness.

Masks can be helpful in certain scenarios. Forcing the general population to wear them while going about their day and saying when they can take them off is not helpful and probably actually counterproductive.

It depends on where you go, what state, what the sentiment is, etc. In certain situations masks are "required" but from what I've experienced it's pretty relaxed in some cases.

I've never stopped traveling and enjoying my life since the pandemic started. I've flown round-trip five times since the pandemic... masks are required on airlines to some degree, particularly before take off. Depending on where you go you need to go with the motions... but other than that live mask free as much as you can or want. It's pretty obvious a lot of the mask mandates are extremely silly and aren't effective. There's no sense in having to wear a mask to walk in the door to a restaurant only to take it off 10 steps in sitting a table. It's ridiculous.

My motto is if I'm in an establishment and see someone without a mask, I'll take mine off too.

How precautious are you towards COVID lifestyle?

Everyone's lifestyle has changed, but the question is, what are you doing where you have a choice? For instance, not going to Vegas during its shut down doesn't count as a precaution because you had no choice. But since Vegas is open now and you would have normally went or had plans to go but are intentionally choosing not to go specifically because of being precautious of the virus, that would count as a precaution.

Yes. I would also defend my home if I had to. But it doesnt change the fact that the riots need to happen, if he gets off free. Its bigger than me, you, or any person.

When the legislature fails, the protests fail, and the peacekeepers fail, theres no other avenue to take than brute force. Until those in charge are forced to listen. And at that point, violence is often the answer.

That is why it is CRUCIAL to listen to the publics outcries BEFORE it gets to that point!

We have a justice system in place that is working its course and we should respect the outcome. If people don't agree with the outcome, I will say that there is no perfect justice system and ours is about as good as you can get.

We don't have lynch mobs anymore. That's not how it works.

It seems a lot of high cost of living states have a higher min wage than the national average. I googled Cali and Oregon and I'd assume other higher cost states are in-line with those two, but I can't say that with certainty.

It seems like maybe it should be a bit more though. Cali min wage is $12. If you have a couple living together, both making *absolute* minimum wage, that's $24/hr. What kind of living situation would that be in CA?

I do not think lower cost states need to have a $15 minimum wage. Someone making $15 an hour in some of the southern states may not be living lavishly, but likely not suffering. Especially if they share a place with their spouse or partner.

Basically, there are blisters all over his body and he has to take an excruciatingly painful bath and have his medical dressings changed every other day, which takes about 3 hours. He was one of the oldest to survive the condition.
