Early movies cut out most of the students' speaking lines and plot importance. So they had a bunch of actors and credited them as characters from the book almost randomly. They were just there to fill up the school.
Some of them got recast once the characters became more important.
I haven't done the research to know who made the decision to recast Lavender Brown. I'd have to do some more research into the subject to find out to whom we direct our witch hunt, but I'm too lazy.

Poke Mart is implied to be a grocery store. There are plenty of shelves that seem to have non-game items. It's just that a 10 y/o doesn't buy them, I guess.
It is hilarious how most games have one single school in the entire region. Maybe this is where all of those "I had to hike uphill in a snowstorm to get to school every day" stories came from.

It depends on the game.
In CoD, you heal your injuries with no good explanation.
In Fortnite, you don't heal at all.
In Halo CE, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Reach, you don't heal (well, a little in Reach), but in the rest of the games there's lore saying there's medical gel in your suit that can heal your wounds.
Why the gel only activates after you haven't been damaged for several seconds and stops the moment someone hits your shield's isn't explained, but eh.

Anyway, my absolute favorite thing about the Twintelle salt is that Twintelle was literally never a possibility. People started scrambling, thinking it could be any ARMs character because of the hint. But the hint was "this character's arms can really stretch". Twintelle's arms don't stretch. Fucking morons.

Right now it will only go as long as Sony allows. I think at one point this movie wasn't going to happen cause of that. Sony didn't want to do this movie but Disney was able to settle things

That's how the media reported it, but with how quickly the dust settled from "no more MCU Spidey" to "he gets his third movie and another ensemble movie", it really feels like they made the decision a while back and wanted to ease us into it by acting like it was all over and then giving us hope immediately after.

It's about the precedent. Pokemon has always kept all of the Pokemon around, so changing it now incites outrage. And it's especially grating when they say "No, we left these guys out because they can't be in Kalos" and then suddenly they add hundreds more when it's time to convince people to buy DLC?

But Pokemon has always had all of them available. Every game has a National Dex so you can collect all of the Pokemon.
And Pokemon isn't "other mon games". It's Pokemon. The highest-grossing franchise in the world. They can put every Pokemon in the game. They chose not to.

If you ask people how a silencer really sounds like, I'm pretty sure most know and agree it's not like how it's portrayed in movies. Also most movies dont really feature silencers anyway. The other issues you mention like lack of safety mode on and not reloading are mostly miniscule since movies don't make it as obvious. Meanwhile ask people if they know guns aren't meant to be fired in full-auto and I guarantee more surprises than not. Tell that to a Hollywood director and even he would probably be shocked.

Assuming that the general public's view of guns doesn't come from movies and video games is quite bold. If you walk up to someone on the street and ask "how do you fire an Assault Rifle", I guarantee you a majority of them think you can just point and drain the whole magazine.
And if you really think the majority of people know that a silencer does dick-all indoors, then why don't we see everyone complaining about it? If people really know it's wrong, then people would be coming through saying "Ugh. Yet another movie where a silencer is way too strong."
The average person's idea of a gun is whatever they've seen on-screen recently. They don't know anything's wrong, and every issue should be addressed.

I'm really so sick of seeing guns blasting in full-auto in the movies. If you actually fire a gun in real-life or served in the military/police, you'd know it's rare to almost never that people would fire guns in full-auto. YES, PEOPLE DON'T FIRE GUNS IN FULL-AUTO. Even the kid that went on a school massacre with a rifle didn't fire his in fullauto mode. It's just so stupid. Full-auto mode is usually used for suppressing fire but not actually for precise targeting. Even the standard military issued rifle M4 doesn't have a full-auto mode because it's unnecessary.

If this is your only standard, I cannot understand why you are having such a problem. I've seen way more movies and shows where people fire in short bursts, or only fire one shot at a time.

I came into this thinking you would have issues with the actual rampant firearm inaccuracies in movies: Semi autos firing in burst or full auto, non automatic weapons firing in semi auto, complete lack of recoil, silencers which make guns almost completely silent, people holding guns wrong, ridiculous accuracy from ridiculous distances (looking at you, Walking Dead), people firing while the safety is on, firing more times than the gun can hold, and all sorts of other inaccuracies plague movies, but you picked this hill?

There is no tie in. The TV shows are occasionally affected by the movies, but the movies never so much as mention the TV shows. Even in the movie where every single hero comes together, the TV show characters are nowhere to be seen.

Both of which were literally confirmed to be correct when the image / sound clip was analysed.

The image was just a really shitty picture with horrendous lighting that fucked with some people's heads.
But the Yanny/Laurel soundbyte was literally made to sound ambiguous. It's not something which people misheard. If you close your eyes and try to focus on the one you can't hear, you can notice that it's saying BOTH at different tones in such a way that depending on what tones your ears hear, it sounds completely different.
I was listening to it just now. I've always heard Yanny. But when I really focused, I could hear a deep-pitched "laurel" underneath

Bullshit. Look at Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. They pretty clearly look ~30. And during the flashback to pre-Ishval? They're very noticably younger.



The only reason it's so hard to figure out anime character's ages is because artists purposefully draw them all looking young.

Link's Awakening HD, an HD re-release of a Game Boy game (not GBA: Game Boy) was sold for $60. It has a small dungeon builder for added functionality, but besides that it's the same game as the OG from 1993 (and the color dungeon from DX).
They can sell any remake for $60. It does not matter. Hell, they could probably sell a port of Mother 3 for $60 at this point, without any need to remake it at all.

There are lots of different non-automatic guns. Basically, what those mean is that you load up one shot, pull the trigger once, and get one shot. After that, you need to do something, whether it's using a bolt to chamber a shell, using a pump to chamber a shell, or pulling open your weapon to reload it.

A semi-automatic weapon can hold multiple shots in its clip/magazine, but each time you pull the trigger it fires out one shot and then stops. Hold it down as long as you like, nothing will happen. The act of releasing the trigger automatically chambers the next shot, so you can pull the trigger to fire again without worrying about anything else.

A fully automatic weapon has a clip or magazine loaded in, and when you pull down the trigger it continuously fires shots until either you run out or you let go.

This isn't something I think people should complain about, but it's definitely something where people only complain because it's been grandfathered in for so long:

Libraries. With all of the people running around talking about how they shouldn't have to pay for other people being allowed to drive on roads, get healthcare, live, etc, etc, I am honestly shocked that no one complains about the institution where everyone can read stuff for free.

I think what she's doing is great. I think how she's trying to do it is great.
None of my problems with her lie with her. Many of her... shall we say "detractors" use her as an easy dummy to beat up. She's quite young, and she's not an expert in anything. So it's become incredibly easy for the other side to hold her up and say "wow look at the morons talking about Climate Change" while ignoring all of the actual science behind it.

There doesn't need to be a face for the fight against Climate Change. But if there does, it should be Ted Cruz for dooming Texas.

God, I was hoping so.
But with the "aww, don't you feel sympathetic for Wanda" talk with Quicksilver in Episode 6 and the super campy villain reveal in Episode 7, it's clear that she's going to be completely absolved of responsibility and just feel bad about it for the rest of her appearances whenever they need her character to get sad.
