Three or four games at most would have set the curve because then you can draw attention to those specific acts without making it a long-term thing. Youre not angry at the country, just the issues it refuses to address. Continually doing it starts to lapse over into being a rebel or trying to be a martyr if the hammer comes down (which it did). But if you make your statement clear and concise, you can always refer back to it and explain why in that moment it mattered.If he had stopped after a few games (when the problem was absolutely not solved) people would have pointed to that as evidence that his concern wasn't genuine.
