It's a little frustrating that people conflate the idea of freedom of speech with the legal definition of it. In a society where corporations have such huge power and influence over our daily lives, of course freedom of speech issues get complicated. But you can think that without engaging with joenumbers, or for that matter without supporting Naomi Wolf.

HOD is underrated. People bash on it because it's the easiest of the Metroidvanias. The music was in 8 bit but I actually enjoyed several of the songs and they would of sounded better if it was using the right sound tech. They stated they sacrificed the music so they can increase the graphics. There is actually an area in the game that blew me away when I played it on a GBA back in the day. Also It still had Ayami Kojima's artstyle which I prefer over DOS's and POR's anime look.

It's still worth a playthrough TC if you like Castlevania since it is considered canon to the main series.
Out of the GBA games, it's the one that looks the most like SotN, in terms of sprites and tile sets and whatnot. It's not bad, I just think there are so many better games in the series that you could play instead. Like, IMO all the DS games are stronger, AoS is stronger, Bloodstained is stronger, Circle of the Moon is debatable. SotN is obviously stronger. I also think it's probably the one or two games in the series that aged the worst.

N64 had so many solid multiplayer bangers on top of first party titles like Zelda and Mario that are some of the most entertaining speedrun titles to this day. PS1 had an incredible JRPG library in "the golden age" along with some other really solid ones. That generation is probably the one that is the closest to call for me.

I kind of got the feeling during that conversation that Varney was hiding something, and that he was bigger and badder than he made out to be, but I'd forgotten about that at the time of Death's reveal. Also I wouldn't have guessed he was Death, just more powerful than you'd think. After all, Varney the vampire precedes Bram Stoker's Dracula. Also while I recognized the voice I didn't get that it was Malcolm McDowell until after I completed the season.

From what I can find, the iron dome in Hebrew is called "kippat barzel", and was called that name because the "golden dome" was regarded too ostentatious. Both Wikipedia and the military wikia pages cite the same quote. Meanwhile, in the Firmament page you linked, it says that The word firmament translates shamayim () or rqa (), a word used in Biblical Hebrew. So am I missing something here?

I haven't seen Maleficent either but after reading a summary I felt like Wicked was the basis for that movie's entire premise.

In Wicked's case, if I understand the plot right, I can definitely see the wizard as the bad guy especially if I'm thinking of the hammy James Franco version.

I'd still be interested in seeing it. But surprised that it didn't also go through the "making a Hollywood movie out of it" treatment like say Mamma Mia. Unless that cheesy 2013 Oz movie was meant to be that.
Just to be clear: Wicked is completely different and unrelated to the movie with James Franco and Mila Kunis.

People have been planning a Wicked movie for ages but it hasn't happened. Probably tons of different reasons but I can't say I'm sad about it, given the.. questionable quality of other classics live Phantom of the Opera and Les Mis.

FWIW, (mild spoilers) Wicked completely retcons the wicked witch of the East into a non-villain. But honestly I think it's pretty solid even without the context of being a Wizard of Oz prequel. The music is fantastic and much of the plot stands on its own. Yes, in the end you need to know the basic plot points of Wizard of Oz, and there are of course some Easter eggs and stuff, but that's pretty much it. I consider it one of the best musicals and I don't think the whole villain's perspective gimmick affects that at all.

You traveled a total distance of 0 as your velocity changes from positive to negative such that they all cancel each other out.

You can calculate tangential velocity at any point in the circle but that's still different from speed.
Dude, if you take a plane around the Earth and end up back in the same spot, you wouldn't have traveled 0 m/s. The difference between velocity and speed is that velocity has a direction, speed is just the magnitude of the velocity. So if you "can calculate" the tangential velocity in any given point, you can also calculate the speed. You're not moving at 0 m/s just because your end destination is the same as your start destination. Surely you understand that.

Yes it literally is. The definition of speed is literally distance traveled divided by time. If you travel in a circle such that you travel from a to a your speed is 0 because your start and end points are the same.

Also getting a lot of pokemon red/blue vibes from the screenshots.
I would classify them as Final Fantasy spinoffs if anything. 1 and 2 have somewhat unique (at the time) mechanics where weapons and spells use durability, and you gain stats depending on actions in battle similar to FF2 NES, but much better balanced. The third game was developed by a bit of a different team that then went on to make Mystic Quest for the SNES, and you can spot some similarities. It has a more traditional level up system with EXP and MP and stuff. All three games have race mechanics, where the different races Human, Mutant/Esper, Mech and Monster grow and work differently. 3 has additional hybrid races as well. If you're not sold, at least pick it up when it goes on sale.

If 3d world is a platformer, I'm not quite sure how it can also have multiplayer though if you can explain that to me?

Also what's Saga? Is that the Mana games they remade?
It has multiplayer like New Super Mario Bros for Wii, Wii U and Switch does. All players (1-4) run around at the same time. Bowser's Fury does it a little differently with one player being Mario, and the other player being Bowser Jr who is just a little helper character so it's a bit more asymmetrical. Only two player co-op in that game.

SaGa is the Japanese name of what was Final Fantasy Legend in America. The series went on with Romancing SaGa for SNES, SaGa Frontier for PlayStation, etc. The Game Boy trilogy is certainly a bit dated, but IMO 2 and 3 are still a bit playable and among the best RPGs on the system (next to Pokmon). Romancing SaGa 2, 3, SaGa Frontier 1 and SaGa: Scarlet Grace are also available if you're into weird JRPGs, but they're not Switch exclusive.

I enjoyed Bowser's Fury a lot, to probably more than 3D World. The control scheme is the exact same as 3D World but with a third person camera, so don't expect to be able to punch stuff like in other 3D titles. But all in all it was a pretty enjoyable game, on the short side but not too short.

3D World in itself was pretty fine. I played it with my gf which I think added a lot, but it was still more fun than it seemed IMO.

Also the Switch has the original SaGa (Final Fantasy Legend) trilogy ported from Game Boy. That's solid.
