I had only seen a handful of episodes when I was younger. I vaguely remember the finale, and thought it was just okay - probably because I hadn't seen any of the episodes it referenced. Going into it this time, I kept an objectively open mind, expected it would be better, and...it was even worse than I remembered.

Everything before the trial was good. I was even fine with them all going to prison (hell, the credits scene with him doing standup made me laugh out loud). But it's just the trial itself that kills it. And I don't even mean how none of the testimony is relevant to what they were on trial for. It just felt like a glorified clip show that just went on and on.

Yup. Used it all the time in middle and high school. Wasn't homophobic in the slightest and none of my friends were either as far as I could tell. Even had an openly gay student and everyone seemed cool with him. It was just a word to use as "lame".

Thankfully that shit stopped right after high school in 04.

Kind of reminds me of when I was in HS and we called one of our black friends an Oreo because he liked anime (because anime was deemed a "white" thing). He laughed along with it, so we figured it was okay.

In hindsight, it was extremely racist regardless of it seemed he felt, and his laughter could have been anything from nervous laughing to laughing AT us.

I would very much like for it to actually be a dark family movie like Addams Family and, well, The Munsters. If it's aggressively violent - at least in his usual style - it's just going to come off as forced and edgy. Hell, that even affected the 2nd Halloween movie.

Eli Roth even tried his hand at dark children's fantasy, and it turned out well enough, so this could work.

Yeah, for the most part. Although, I had more issues out of PS2 after launch than PS3. The original PS2 model had issues almost as frequently as the 360.

My PS3 did end up losing power, but it was after nearly a decade.

We need to take very aggressive steps to cut down on polluting the ocean. Pollution, overfishing, culling, etc. Sorry, but if your profession is causing extinction and endangerment of species, then find a new profession.

Some of the worst offenders are Japan, South America, and China. Not to mention the United States floating trash piles that are the size of a state.

While ocean pollution is still significant, it's actually air pollution that cruises emit more than any other. Depending on the size, a single Carnival liner's sulfur dioxide emissions are equal to 1 to 3 and a half million cars.

I don't see any reason why this can't be considered news. There's no prerequisite to determine what is and isn't featured, nor is there a limit for content online (as opposed to TV or newspapers).

Is it trivial? A little, but fluff pieces have existed since the beginning of journalism.

Also, yes, Catdog was awful. I remember they promoted the show's debut for several weeks without actually revealing it. They just said "The newest Nicktoon Catdog is coming on <date>!" without actually showing the concept or clips of it. It's almost like even they weren't sure if it would work.

But even beyond the wtf premise, it was really generic and just wasn't funny.

Everybody always highlights The Principal and the Pauper, but the show had *multiple* jump the shark episodes before that (including "Deep Space Homer" -- there's a well-established trope that you can tell when a non-space franchise has run its course by sending somebody into space) and the quality continued thereafter, with many of the show's best episodes coming later

I remember before Principal and the Pauper, the most predominantly cited lowest point was Homerpalooza. Most of the "low points" of the classic era weren't really that bad.

Scribblenauts. Really cool concept but you could brute force every puzzle by just cramming the area with creations until you achieved your goal.

It's incredible for like an hour. Then when you actually start playing the game, you find out you literally only need to create the same three things.
