Some actors might have better chemistry with others so what you originally intend might not be the best course of action down the line. How I Met Your Mother being an example. Even in this Star Wars trilogy Carrie Fisher died before the last movie. That would cause plans to change. In answering, Abrams drew from his wealth of experience in television: Ive been involved in a number of projects that have been in most cases, series that have ideas that begin the thing where you feel like you know where its gonna go, and sometimes its an actor who comes in, other times its a relationship that as-written doesnt quite work, and things that you think are gonna just be so well-received just crash and burn and other things that you think like, Oh thats a small moment or Thats a one-episode character suddenly become a hugely important part of the story. I feel like what Ive learned as a lesson a few times now, and its something that especially in this pandemic year working with writers [has become clear], the lesson is that you have to plan things as best you can, and you always need to be able to respond to the unexpected. And the unexpected can come in all sorts of forms, and I do think that theres nothing more important than knowing where youre going. There are projects that Ive worked on where we had some ideas but we hadnt worked through them enough, sometimes we had some ideas but then we werent allowed to do them the way we wanted to. Ive had all sorts of situations where you plan things in a certain way and you suddenly find yourself doing something thats 180 degrees different, and then sometimes it works really well and you feel like, Wow that really came together, and other times you think, Oh my God I cant believe this is where we are, and sometimes when its not working out its because its what you planned, and other times when its not working out its because you didnt [have a plan]. But you should probably try out a touch screen game just to make sure you're happy with the latency and quality before buying a controller. But yeah I think it'll get a PC port. Proto_Spark posted... PS's biggest benefit over Xbox is just having exclusives, not PC ports. PS has really well-received games that you can't get on Xbox, which is why you buy the PS instead. That or its the system all your friends have. I agree. It's just that PC ports don't really matter all that much to the general console market. Multiplats are actually the most popular games on PlayStation. They're the defacto console and have gamers loyal since the PS1. That's their biggest advantage. The presentation this was a part of shows that off really. Things in gaming change rather rapidly. They're telling PC players that their games are going there because...they're putting their games there. There's less incentive for PC players to buy a Playstation. Not more. Then they'll start with PS5 games in a couple of years. I think it makes total sense. First party PlayStation games crater in value after a couple of years.
